FYI, Central in trouble at Dubuque. Fumbled on 2nd OT possession -- Dubuque inside 15.

G&BBU - If Bethel wins today, will all your Bethel post patterns friends be coming out to play?  They've been pretty quiet after the Buena Vista loss...

Yea don't be surprised to see 49 new Bethel posters yapping like they've actually won something before.  Freebird, Scrubby, Cheese come to mind...

TDT,

For the record I have been around for the last four years.  I think you are the only one to have taken a long(forced) break  ;D

Huge win for Bethel today.

I have never seen so many SJU posters start making predictions about the BU game and puffing out their chests this quickly after a Bethel win.  Sounds like some people are getting nervous and the game is still a few weeks out  :-\

FYI, Central survives in triple OT, 37-34 on FG that was tipped.

very true freebird. Every johnnie poster was predicting a monkey stomp last year, when the only thing that got stopmed on was the SJU logo. Maybe some respect this year?

Good point.  Unlikely.  I expect more monkey stomp predictions.

I'll go ahead and prove Freebird right:

I PREDICT A MONKEYSTOMP

SJU 35 UST 7

SJU and the fans are gearing up for the Tommie game, not a game 3 weeks from now. With a bye on Nov 2nd, SJU has plenty of time to get ready for Bethel when it is warranted. I suggest Bethel and their fans do the same and worry about getting past Hamline this week and the upset-minded Auggies!
Augsburg knocked off the then #11 ranked team in the country, there should be little doubt they are capable of knocking off an un-ranked Royal team.

In case the johnnie fans missed out on the scores from the MIAC this year, SJU 10-Carleton 7 ;.... St. Thomas 19-Carleton 7.....Bethel 45-Carleton 21......SJU 30-St. Olaf 29.......Bethel 35-St. Olaf 14.

Seems to me that SJU has plenty of work left to do in the MIAC.    Expect St. Thomas to put up more of a fight next saturday.

You conveniently forgot  to mention some other scores from the MIAC this year:
SJU-52 Concordia-21... Bethel-48 Concordia-45 in 2OT's....Concordia-58 UST-28... SJU-40 GAC-0... Bethel-38 GAC-23...GAC-30 UST-14

Not that any of these comparisons mean jack compared to what happens on the field in the coming 3 weeks, but just wanted to show how clearly your bias shines through yet again.

Leave the 3rd cousin of an opponent approach at home. Especially considering Bethel's 21-16 loss to BV who lost 38-0 to Wartburg who lost 16-15 to Augsburg. Or, if you prefer to use that line of thinking, the Bethel-SJU game will be meaning less since Bethel will lose to Augsburg by a 43 point margin.  ;D
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Bias?  I almost forgot that non-johnnie fans are the only ones capable of bias.  I wasn't making the case that those were the only scores that matter in the league, but they were a good indicator that St. John's isn't exactly the heavy favorite to win the conference that it thinks it is.  You lost to Bethel last year at home, and are currently tied with them in the standings.  You have a tougher opponent in St. Thomas than Bethel has in Hamline and Augsburg before the SJU-Bethel matchup.  I'm hoping the johnnie players are only looking forward to St. Thomas and Bethel can only see Hamline in the headlights, so the potential championship game in arden hills is preserved.

AO-either way it is still the championship, unless Bethel loses the next two. Even if one team comes in with a conference loss, if that team wins, they win the championship.
But if both teams enter undefeated, even if SJU loses, SJU will still make the playoffs, and isn't that what counts in the end, a chance to play for the championship?

Every non-Johnnie fan will jump on this tofu BU team once again, in a attempt to try and supplant the Johnnie pposters on this site.  Happens every year, and with last man standing rules, it is the Johnnies that rule over the post season posters while everyone else spends the off season trying to come up with witty retorts for next year.
Everyday is payday in paradise.

Olaf played hard, but I think coaching cost them the game.  Bad penalties are still a problem, but they did not cost Olaf the game.  The game was lost in the second half.  The field conditions were sloppy.  Both teams ran the football well in the first half, but only Bethel ran the ball in the second half.  Every time St. Olaf did run the football it was successful.  Olaf should have ran the football until Bethel stopped them.  I talked with a friend from Bethel who mentioned the bye last week really helped them.

I guess I was referring to the possiblity that the winner of the game would not share the title with the loser as was the case last year.  The assumed conference champ is the winner of the head-to-head battle, but the 06' title will still be marked in the St. John's record books.

If St. John's loses the next two games, do they still get in the playoffs?  The regional rankings will favor teams winning at the end of the year rather than the start.

So much for Colorado. It was a game through the first half for the Buffaloes. Amazing to watch the Jayhawks run the no-huddle offense with the quarterback doing the audibles after looking for direction from his coach. Comparable to what the Gusties did last week against the Johnnies. Fortunately for Kansas, their offense was impressive.

Just had dinner with my former Johnnie roommate, who was originally from New Ulm. He is a doctor in Denver. He went through the ROTC program at SJU. Comparable to what Kilted Rat is going through.

AO-if SJU loses the next two-no way they get in nor should they.
