Thanks Pat.  I hope you had a great time last week at SJU.  Hope to see you in Salem ;D

Veek

I am still trying to gather my thoughts after last week's game.  The Johnnie D obviously had a subpar performance, to put it mildly, but UST certainly appeared to be better than a 2 win team.  We are used to seeing teams get pumped up when they are playing SJU but UST was able to move the ball all day long.  SJU came away with a victory, however, so we can now move on and concentrate on Bethel.

It was great seeing everyone on Saturday and I was happy that Zip was able to make the trip up from Chicago.  Thanks for the polish, Zip.  They were awesome as always.

Pat and Keith - thanks for visiting our neck of the woods on Saturday.  I hope you had a good time.

I was able to save a wild rice sausage for them, too, so they at least got something off the grill even though it wasn't a polish or one of JR's burgers.  We sure went through the food on Saturday.  I think the Stiftungsfestivity was the largest one yet.

Go Johnnies!!!
Go Johnnies!!!

Just a software bug caused by the crossover into negative four digit karma.

I just docked you again, TDT.  We'll have to see what happens when you cross that 5 digit negative territory and find out if the MYSQL number field was modified to 6 digits.  I think the negative sign may take up a byte of storage as there were already people in the four digit positive range.

and ditto  ;)

Tmerton - I just heard about the quake tonight in the Bay area.  I hope you and your loved ones are all fine.

Thanks for the thought, Veek, but no biggie here - it made my chair move a little is all.  Nothing compared to coming home to find that mrs. tmerton left the front door standing open all friggin' day while she was at work. :o  Guess the ole' neighborhood is pretty safe as everything seems to still be here.

I'd say that was probably just gas. That might even be what blew the door open. But you might want to check with my cousin Dr. KR for a second opinion.

Veek:

That was clutch -- thanks so much. Nice meeting or re-meeting everyone.

Did you hear about Michael Vick's new shoe endorsement deal?

He now endorses "Hush Puppies"!

What are your thoughts about hosting the Stiftungsfestivities at Royaland when the Johnnies come to town on November 10th? When we have done it in the past we staged it in the parking lot that is by the entrance to the stadium. Freebird, would we have to run this by the "powers that be" at Bethel to get approval? Dry campus? Would it be appropriate to play the Paris Hilton cd?

JJR, considering how it is impossible to dance to Paris Hilton, it should be a safe selection.   :-\

This team really knows how to tackle.

Kinda like the Millsaps team letting Trinity lateral the ball 15 times last weekend (what's now being called the "Mississippi Miracle").  There were Millsaps players just standing around while this was going on, apparently not in tune with what was happening.

It was the second strange and disappointing finish for Millsaps this season; it lost its first game of the season after being up by something like 28 points in the second half when the coach inserted 2nd and 3rd stringers and then refused to put the first string back in as the other team made its comeback (definitely not Bill Bilichick, eh?).

One of my friends has a nephew who starts on the OL for Millsaps.  I talked to him about the game this morning; he said his brother (the player's father) was at the game - and that he was also at the 1982 Cal-Stanford game where "The Play" occurred - certainly the only person who attended both games.

1982 - The Play

2007 - Mississippi Miracle

Details are "developing" however my Bethel insider indicated he's setting something up in a parking lot near the visitors bleacher section near the southeast corner..... the parking lot is easily accessible off the Snelling Ave. exit and is "reserved" for visiting fans...  Tom and Carol Arth have already committed to bringing their now famous Collegeville Chili.

The BU athletic departed has already commented they are content with letting Johnnie fans stand five deep and won't be providing any temporary seating.

Also, Duffman's expose' on the dwindling impact of the Rat Pack can now be read at... you guessed it,  www.JohnnieFootball.com

It's time we get off our "Arses" and Cheer!
