TDT,

I have your back on the Jello for Saturday. I have been absent for the past three weeks for some training. I know I didn't miss anything last week so that was a plus. Are you seriously in need of a ride? Where are you going to be? I have one of the flying Tomczaks coming back with me after the game but I could pick you up I think if all else fails. Let me know.

Raiders play the Pios this weekend. Any over under on the score vs the Johnnies results against them? We need another shutout to break the NCAA record of 7 in a season. Starting D has not given up a TD this season. One field goal ytd. Scarry. :o
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Flash's tip of the day. DO NOT drink $50 worth of rum in 3 1\2 hours when you have a 5 hour drive ahead of you the next morning. (even if the bartender is a young stripper working part time right by your house)

Another tip. If you come home drunk, and your wife tells you to shut up and go to bed, it's not a good idea to argue with her.

When I grow up, I'm going to try to be more like BDB.

PS-Don't bother tipping the young stripper $30 . It won't get you anywhere.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

For those of you who don't want to waste your time reading TDT's "Top Ten Things To Look For At Bethel On Saturday" (now up at www.JohnnieFootball.com), Carl Spackler was kind enough to share the truth with jf.com--he's actually a Johnnie fan!

You'll be able to read all about this shocking revelation tomorrow morning at 9:00!

TC-
You're trying to get me in trouble with my family and friends, aren't you?  Well played. 8)

Yes, I know.  The Apocalypse can't be far behind.

:o ;D That was true two weeks ago when SJU last played, barring unforeseen circumstances it will be true next week, but definitely NOT THIS WEEK!  Lest we forget that I still and always will bleed blue!

Strike up the band:  "Bethel Royals, on to victory as we proudly sing your name.  Bethel Royals, we will cheer you as you win your way to fame!"

Go Royals Go! :D

Nice way to start the day Duff.
57-where have you gone? You will need to hold down the fort for the first half tomorrow, as I will coaching my son's B-Ball game at 1:00, should be back by 2:30. Plently of time to post things that will p*ss off TC, but all in good fun, right?
I certainly do not want to see the Flash too soon, either, even though he is like the Garrison Keillor of the D3 board, with his homespun wisdom.

Can someone bring some brats and buns for the Stiftungsfestivities tomorrow? Let me know. The Bongard's cheese curds have already been purchased for the Duffman.

If I make it to the tailgate, I'll bring just that. My father is in town from ND and he's going to the game, but I don't know if he wants to go early.
Nice day, huh?

So I spent my evening at a formal fundraising dinner--I felt more out of place than a Bethel football player in the second round of the playoffs.  It was the type thing where you had to wear a tie and, even though they had perfectly decent beer in bottles--Grainbelt Premium was the route I took--people were ordering wine and martinis.  Just horrible.

Wonderful image and description, TC - I can feel your pain from here (+k).  Don't move to the left coast though - or the east coast for that fact.

Met an Aussie friend last night at a bar down the street where they had Chimay on tap.  But damn expensive - $8 for the smallest glass of beer I've ever seen; $13 for a pint. :o  But great stuff.  Tried to see if my friend would stay over and meet Oz next week but he had to leave for Texas - besides, I guess meeting Aussies is no BFD for Oz anyway.

Happy SJU Day indeed. ;)

QuoteUpdate on Wimmer

Twenty-four hours ago, the word in Collegeville, and from sophomore linebacker Ryan Wimmer himself, was that he was doubtful for Saturday's game. While that hasn't changed entirely, it sounds like you can move him up to questionable now.

Just got done talking to assistant coach Gary Fasching (who also said this on the radio tonight). He said Wimmer practiced around 10 plays today. The plan as of now, according to Fasching, is to have him dress Saturday and be available for emergency use. So we'll see. His condition was apparently better today.

(Personal note: This is why I hate doing daily updates, because what looks certain one day may change by the next with this stuff)

I can swing by Thelen Meats and purchase said "Wild Rice Brats" on my way out of town tonight.  I will be there at 9:30.

Prez and Frank,  I book the "Build a Bear" Package at the Embassy Suites.  I figure we can make a donkey and go around town and punch it all night!!  :o

Happy Johnnie Day!!

I wonder if there is a big argument on the St. Ben's Campus to include them on this day as well??

Sad sight of my life:  Met one of my HS friends for a drink last night, he has this "woman" with him, apparently a female body builder.  As she drags he knuckles off the ground to shake my hands, she says "hi" in a voice range that would qualify James Earl Jones for the SJU boy's choir.  Of course me being who I am proceed to tell my friend a series of "mangina" jokes...Don't think she'll invite me to the wedding!   ;D

The good Lord willing, I've got you covered - I suspect bad bennie will be on board also. Thanks for the reminder - got to make a Redenbacher run as I only have one pack left.
Been down to Oklahoma to visit sick grandson. Mrs. 57 and I OD'd on catfish.
Ditto the Happy SJU Day and a happier one tomorrow ;D
