AO--I'm throwing caution to the wind and coming after you in the Pick 'Em.  This aggression will not stand, man!  I will not allow a UMACer to win our Pick 'Em.  (Plan accordingly, cobbernation.)

This UMACer is not the issue here, dude.  I'm talking about drawing a line in the sand tomorrow, Dude.  Across this line, you DO NOT... Also, Dude, UMACer is not the preferred nomenclature. Upper Midwest Athletic Conference or UMAC, please.

Do you need me to pick before you do, so you can pick the opposite?  Lot of points up for grabs this week and you clearly have momentum on your side.  It's still a toss-up as to whether I'll be at Bethel tomorrow.

"...do not seek Bethel,
do not go to Gilgal,
do not journey to Beersheba.
For Gilgal will surely go into exile,
and BETHEL will be REDUCED to NOTHING."

All sorts of +k for that one.
Nice day, huh?

Dude:  You know AO has emotional problems!
Walter:  You mean, beyond being a UMACer?
Dude:  He's fragile, man!  He's very fragile!
Walter:  Huh. I did not know that. Well, it's water under the bridge. And we do enter the next round-robin, am I wrong?

For the record, I won't be looking at your picks.  I'm just going to have to choose the best I can and hope that I even have a shot at the win.

For said tailgate at Bethel tomorrow morning, does one need to bring anything along?  Let us know and we'll try to bring more Johnnie faithful to the party.  Looking forward to getting a game face on...

sju_moondog:
You didn't happen to attend SJU in the late 80's?  Are you by chance a graduate of Mankato Loyola?

Nope, proud graduate of 2001 however I do live in Mankato now, as one might gather from my name.

Moondog: "Talented" Bennies would be a good start  8) 8).  Otherwise cold beverages, brats, hot dogs, buns, condiments, cookies, chips, etc.

Talented Bennies...I'm not sure what I can pull together on such short notice...

I'll do my best to round up some food items!

All this talk of poor parking at Bethel begs the question of whether SJU has a better parking situation.  The answer is no.

Freebird

Esq, will you be around tomorrow morning?

ROR, I feel like I don't need to ask but will you be attending?

Dusty: How'd the meeting go this morning?  Did you get the details ironed out with Irish?  I hope it was productive...

Irish is fine however RHB asked if she could sit with me in my seats... I said you do know the game is in Arden Hills, right?  .... I was tempted....

Looking forward to a good game tomorrow.  Interesting that Wimmer is dressing, but will only play "in emergency situations".  Say this "emergency situation" occurs--let's call it the Johnnies pissing away a 13-0 lead because they can't stop Bethel from running all over them, for instance--do we really think a sophomore linebacker with a dislocated elbow is going to solve the problem?  I'd assume they've been preparing for two weeks to have Rose slide over to the middle and have Eid take over on the outside.  Why not just stick with that plan, tell Wimmer to focus on the playoffs and be done with it?

Good questiosn, TC.  Wimmer is pretty experienced for a soph, but even if he plays one wonders how effective he can be.  The O needs to be clicking and Eid needs to play up.

I will-- I did try sending you an email as well-- I will have my grill along and hope you find us at the SoHo lot.

I'm curious-- what does SoHo stand for in the Bethel context?
SJU Champions 2003 NCAA D3, 1976 NCAA D3, 1965 NAIA, 1963 NAIA; SJU 2nd Place 2000 NCAA D3; SJU MIAC Champions 2018, 2014, 2009, 2008, 2006, 2005, 2003, 2002, 2001, 1999, 1998, 1996, 1995, 1994, 1993, 1991, 1989, 1985, 1982, 1979, 1977, 1976, 1975, 1974, 1971, 1965, 1963, 1962, 1953, 1938, 1936, 1935, 1932

SoHo stands for South House.  As you'll see tomorrow, near the lot theres an old run down house thats been there a long time.  Used to be used by some dean or postion of that type.  Apparently theres some sort of protection on it that prevents it from being torn down because of its age....some historical structure thing I think.

DuffMan

Moondog, I have a guess of your identity.  Do I know you?

A tradition unrivaled...
