Collegeville Magic

Once again, Jim Gagliardi proves himself to be the best assistant to the defensive coordinator the J's face every week.

what a horsesh*t second half-where was the offense, being outcoached by Johnson-you got to be kidding. Bad.
You know maybe I should take that back and in that case, SJU was overrated all year and Bethel not rated high enough.

shakenbake35

Any other finals from around the conference yet?

Hopefully we can have two good MIAC runs in the playoffs. :-\
I like to picture my Jesus singing lead vocals for Lynard Skynard with like a band of Angels behind him, and I'm in the front row HAMMERED drunk!!!

Seton41

we needed one drive of substance from our offense and got nothing...not even close

farley101

The whole run run pass each time they had the ball in the second half didn't cut it.  Could have tried to push it down field a little more, unless the confidence in AK11 wasn't there because of the two INTs.

57 and Farley,

Disgrace >:( >:( WTF are you bozos talking about????  Not a playoff team....yeah 17-14 to the team rated #13 going in........  Not the way we would have wanted to get in....but I find it hard to believe there are 30+ teams in the country better.

I am curious as to what team in the country at any level you would truly support.....maybe Mount Union has some room on their bandwagon.

Johnnie Fans,

What happened in Arden Hills today???

Dread Pirate Roberts

Gac leads Carlton 37-14...I flipped it on in time to see some Gustie return a KO like 100 yards for the last score.

The Olaf game is going really slow. Announcers joking it won't be done until it gets dark.

The defense could have helped itself as well with a three-and-out every once in awhile. Or even a six-and-out. In the third quarter the Johnnies only ran three offensive plays. Yeah it was a three and out, but it wasn't their fault they didn't get another shot.

Collegeville Magic shows up once a year to attack Jim Gagliardi...you are a gut-less piece of sh1t.  During the third quarter when the defense could not get off the field, that was Jim's fault.

Go grab your Blazer basketball gear and play with yourself.

I never said Disgrace RED-look it up! I said Horsesh*t which is what it was. The goal is to win the MIAC championship first, then playoffs second. You really think a team that loses to Bethel, has what it takes to beat UWW, a far superior team? The goal isn't to be one or two and done in the playoffs, it's about winning 5 games.
I support my SECOND PLACE Johnnies, but that doesn't mean I can't be critical of a really bad game-OR DOES IT? If that's the kid of fans you want-sorry not happening.

sju56321

BTW-SJU had two, count them, two weeks to prepare and played like that?

Seton41

Here's the deal...Both defenses played well.  The Johnnies were certainly bend-but-don't-break, and they never broke.  They came up big far more times than I could ever reasonably expect out of them.

As much as I hate to say it, Bethel deserves a lot of credit for the way they played.  It was a good game played by all.  The Johnnie offense was never able to get into a rhythm in the second half, largely as a result of not being on the field much at all.  However, when they were on the field, they did nothing.  You can say it's b/c of the defense or the coaching, but who knows...

Congrats to both teams on a good, competitive game to decide the conference championship.

GoldandBlueBU

Wow, amazing game today.  The johnnie defense bent over and took itfor 60 yds almost every bethel posession, but they turned into a brick wall when we hit the 20.  It was really impressive to see them come up big so many times in a row, however, Bethels O was able to punch it in when it counted.  Seeing wetzell demolish that sju defender on the 5 yd line was sick.  Embarassing to get killed by a qb.
I guess I don't understand why the Johnnies didn't go to the pass more often.  We consistenly stuffed their runs, but they kept going back to them.   Anyway, great game by both teams.

St. Johns is Bad.

DuffMan

Hmmm.... looks like Duff was right.  What a sad display from the Johnnies.  I think I will keep my mouth shut for now.  Duff out.   ::)
