Don't forget the playoff game against Albion in 1994 - I still have a hard time thinking about that one  - the screen pass that wasn't.....................................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

'93 to Mount, the point a minute team gets beat really badly. And we didn't know about Mount then.

Johnnie Red

I would have to agree with sju56321 in regards to the MUC(k) game in `93. God, that was tough to watch given the 61.5 points per game that we were averaging for the regular season. I headed to a bar during the third quarter. :'(

snoop dawg

So, who are the GAC posters on this board?

TC I have never portrayed you as anything regarding Kofoed, your own post have made it clear where you stand. And I will say for the hundreth time, I hope Kofoed has a great game come Saturday-there is no reason why he couldn't. I think all can be settled after the game over a Gary's pizza and some beer. You in?

Is there anything that can't be settled over Gary's?  Of course, I'm in.

And obviously I'm joking about how anti-Kofoed you are (except for when you really are anti-Kofoed, that is) and how pro-Kofoed I am.  Anything to get a rise, you know?

...the offense is probaby the weakest St. John's has had in the playoffs since 1999. Again, just one man's opinion.

And that team had PLU put away... :'(
PLU dominated Rowan at the Stagg shortly thereafter.

2nd most disappointing Johnnie game I ever witnessed.  The most disappointing loss was to Wabash in the first round of the playoffs in 1977 coming off the national championship in 1976.
ROR, am very impressed you can remember anything back to 1976.  My wife claims we took a vacation to Mackinac Island around then and I have no memory of that at all....along with a lot of other stuff from the late seventies. ;)

Funny, I have yearbooks and pictures that indicate I went to high school in the 70's.  I don't remember it, but it must have happened.

'93 at MUC for me too.  Getting off the bus just before the game starts, sitting among mostly MUC fans in our make-shift plastic baggie poncho's, listening allllll game to an a-hole pimply assed student from MUC constantly yelling "the more pushups the better" and "why do they even try to run against us" on every friggen running play and "why do they even try to pass against us" on every passing play and finally in exasperation answering the elderly fan sitting next to me at halftime, who asked what I thought it would take to win this game..."lady it's going to take Macalester coming out of that tunnel to win this sucker."  At least the flight home was fun because we got to talk to Willie Seiler's mother.  BTW, some of that 70's forgetfullnes lingered into the 90's so if I have the wrong game...never mind. ;D

One other BTW from the Bethel game.  The one good thing I can point to is that the way it ended prevented the Bethel fans from the proverbial irritating "overrated" chant.  Hate that sucker; except in '03 when we got to do it to Mount. ;D

I suspect he would probably give opposing coaches only audio of SJU games if he could.  In fact, has Maynard checked the "video" he received?  And does he know for sure it's the 2007 Johnnies? :D

I think there's a little Knute Rockne in John.

I've never understood that about Gags.  It's not like you guys run a crazy offense, with plays that are revolutionary each week.  It is always the same sort of things - inside zone here, backside-dig-fronside-smash-concept there, a little outside zone, a little iso.  Nothing that a team has never faced.  Sure, it would be nice to have tips like a lineman's feet pre-snap, or a safeties tendencies pre-coverage roll, but even most of that stuff, by this time in the season, you should be able to figure out at the snap of the ball.  Hey, if the safety lines up1 yard deeper or closer on a certain coverage, sure, it would help to know which direction to probably look.  But, the teams that are still playing have guys that are good enough to change their tendencies at this time of the year and can make things a bit different than earlier games.

This is not a Gags shot.  Rather, it is a shot at both.  The people that get so bent out of shape at not getting full endzone coverage or, missing one play from the sideline tape - get over it!  My rant for the day.  I remember a few years back when there was a protracted conversation in here regarding the SJU film procedures.  Play football, it's not rocket science!

Out of order, I'll show you out of order! You don't know what out of order is, Mr Task! I'd show you but I'm too old, I'm too tired, and I'm too f----n blind. If I were the man I was 5 years ago, I'd take a FLAMETHROWER to this place. Out of order, who the hell do you think you're talking to?

Wow, someone better send me to quoting 101 after that last post's debacle!
