Redtooth

Zip and VOJ,

Earlier in the day you both mentioned things regarding the 2002 team and the Redlands game that I would like to add to:

Denne the QB in 02 had a ankle that was mush by the Redlands and later playoff games as a result of an injury during the UST game.  If he had been his normal mobile self, we would have played Mount in the Stagg....we had to alter the offense a bunch with him not being able to move.  In addition to Elliott, the offense also had a RB named Crowley that ran for 1,400 yards.  The great part of Denne's success that year was that he had moved to TE after Keating won the QB job in the preseason, only to have to go back to QB when Keating scattered his left arm against WW in the third game.

VOJ--the OLine in 02 was special (not just because I coached them), they controlled games more than I have heard this year's group has done.  When the 02 season ended, the five starters had started a combined 185 games......Engwall, Kosel, Dirlam, Pantzke, Vogt

How much does Grant make at EP?

As much as he can fit in his pockets--they wipe their asses with $20's in Eden Prairie.

DustySJU: Is this true??   :o :o

RE: Mike Grant's salary

Nobody really knows for sure.  But I believe it is public information because it is a public position as well as I believe he is the AD out at EP (can someone confirm or deny this?)

The only thing I know about wiping asses is buying diapers and changing them.  I did however attend university with his wife who between the two of them own the majority of the EP school budget.   ;D

Suddenly I am frightening by the possibility of a competitive UST football team but excited at the same time that the Rivalry could be renewed with some fresh blood at the top.

Does anyone have a ballpark idea? 100k?  How about Gags?

Pat Coleman

From what I can find, the HS principal in EP makes $119,000. Probably safe to say Grant makes less, since this isn't D-I football.

At least, less as a HS salary. Wouldn't count outside income.

Dear Veek,

When did you get put in charge of "Executive Decisions"?  Has the Mayor bestowed these sorts of important decisions upon you in his absence?  The President would like to kindly request that you bring at least a dozen wild rice brats.  I've been in contact with the Polish King of Chicago and he will be bringing about a dozen italian sausages this week for a little variety.  Thank you for your understanding.

The MGMT

Hey Buckwheat - when you start paying for the damn sausages then I'll start listening to your opinion about what I should serve.  I was very happy to see that the Mayor stepped in right away and put you in your place.

VOJ - if you can't make it over I'll make sure that one of your cohorts makes a delivery for you.

Go Johnnies!!!

Go Johnnies!!!

Greetings oh wise Veekster;

Fair enough.  Just make sure that Mancave is stocked with plenty of cold bevies, a brass pole, and a big screen tv for the JohnnieFootball.com Organizational Meetings.  I think we hashed this out over the phone today.  The Mayor spoke and overruled the Prez.  Not to worry, you'll be sh!tting all morning in the Porta-potty after you drink some of TDT's secret recipe cider.  Enjoy sir.

Ritz: Is the liver back to 100%?  I think you've got some explaining to do about Mayslacks...
Chasing MILFs since '82...

Veek

TDT - I wonder if we will catch two Redlands guys in the porta-potty at the same time like those clowns from St. Thomas.

Also, you should use some of your Presidential clout and line up a pink porta-potty for the game.  You weren't able to be in attendance for the one game that it appeared this season.

Ritz - what happened down at Mayslacks?  TDT has me wondering now.

Frank - where are you and will you be in attendance for the game this Saturday?

KR - will you be able to make it up behind the Pine curtain for the game?
Go Johnnies!!!

For the record - I left Oz a little bit ago, standing and in good shape, to meet his friends at the W Hotel across from the Moscone Convention Center.  His everning was just beginning.  If he doesn't show up, Mrs. Oz, I had nothing to do with it.  Honest. :-X

We had a good time and I learned a lot about Mehburne and Ozzie taxes and such.  His first Christmas down under it was 104; they go to the beach on Christmas day. :o  Seems unnatural, doesn't it?  Anyway, he's a goner; never coming back except to visit. :'(  We need somehow to get him up for a game -- anyone want to buy an Oracle system?

I need input from multiple sources on this one....

From to to bottom....which confrence is better, the MIAC or the Northwest Conference???

I have just returned from an evening hosted my Mr. Tmerton and I must say it was a good one.  Good conversation, good beer (the actual judge of the evening :o) and good food.  He's a gracious host and I just want to say thanks again here for taking the time to have dinner with me.

As for you crowd, he had great things to say about TC.  As for the rest of you bums...  well, you just have to lift your game.  ;)

As to Redlands, from a quick glimpse of the nine pages that have popped up over the last six hours... it appears that they are trying to talk a little smack.  Woooooh, dude!  Like that's totally Spicoli!  Huuuuuh!  No need to worry about Saturday.  All they need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz and they're fine.

'93 to Mount, the point a minute team gets beat really badly. And we didn't know about Mount then.

Yeah - that was the killer for me too.  Gutted me like a pan fish at a Ballclub dress-up night.

And one last factoid before I hit the hay:  It will take a long time for the Redlands team to get to Collegeville.  Apparently, they will need a number of days since it is illegal for motor vehicles to drive on the City of Redlands streets unless a man with a lantern is walking in front.

And everyone laughs because their math department still demands students use an abacus.  Of course, it is convenient in geography that none of the globes can roll away (...as they are all flat...).  And the pre-meds must be happy that there is a ready supply of leaches available for fishing season.

Yes Redtooth they were special...but we have been able to run the ball fairly well this year, the Bethel game aside...its tough to remember and compare between the teams
