From Shooter today, take it for what Shooter's worth, which isn't a single can of Hamm's in most cases...

It will be interesting to see whether Mal Scanlan, who was highly successful during a five-year head football coaching tenure at St. Thomas, is interested in returning to his alma mater to replace Don Roney, who resigned Tuesday. Or whether popular former Gophers offensive line coach Gordie Shaw, who is highly regarded at St. Thomas, would be interested.

There was a time when Mike Grant, who has coached Eden Prairie to five large-school state championships and has a master's degree in athletic administration from St. Thomas, was interested in the Tommies' job. But he's no longer interested.

Fixed it for you and Shooter ::)
Nice day, huh?

As for you crowd, he had great things to say about TC.

I think Oz mis-heard me - I would never do something like that, TC - honest! ;)

Totally understood, Clark.  I just assumed all the travel had gotten to OZ--something about different hemisphere, everything is opposite.

Folks, as mayor, I would like to officially welcome longtime-lurker, newly-registered LBean to the board.
Please welcome him warmly, in the usual fashion if he ever figures out how to post a message. (hell, it took him a couple of years to figure out how to register).
C'mon LBean, scratch 'em if you got 'em.

Thank you Mayor for taking the time to welcome L Bean.  Many of the fellas here will recognize L Bean from his regular appearances at the Johnnie tailgate party.  Time to come out and play Larry!!!!!

Wow Tmerton I am surprised that TC made such a noble impression on you and your family in Collegeville...

Veek: Will there be booing allowed in your seats on Saturday?  Inquiring minds want to know.  Also, just about 24 hours til The Sizzle is published on JohnnieFootball.com be patient, I understand he has lined up a couple of celebrities this week...

Of course booing is allowed as long as it is directed at Redlands or bad calls. ;)

LBean - I would like to personally welcome you to PP.  It would actually have been preferable to do after you posted something but here's to you and your future superb posts.

Duff - I've been following the directions in your PMs.

GO JOHNNIES!!!
Go Johnnies!!!

How is wartburg ranked?  Do they have wins over regionally ranked opponents?  Didn't they lose to Auggie Tech?

Johnnie Red

Anyone from the Redlands bringing Paris Hilton along for the game on Saturday? Just trying to determine if I need to bring the cd to the Stiftungsfestivities. If she is present, she can sing the tunes live.

Thanks, Fins.     Good to be on board.    I'll eventually get around to adding the usual stuff on the screen.      Most importantly, I hope to rise to the challenge by making some excellent koolaid for Sat.     We'll miss you.

Here's an LBean story to get you started.
Waaaay back when, LBean hadn't been up to C'ville for a game in some time and I finally got him committed to come up. I told him not to bring anything, I had the grill and the brats, etc. everything we'd need, just show up. Well the Beanster insisted on contributing so I finally relented when he offered to bring the beer. So I get there early Saturday morning, get set up, and await the arrival of my pal, LBean with the bevvies. Shortly, LBean cruises in and proudly produces his contribution: A SIX PACK OF TINY HEINIES:o Yes, six of the 7 oz. bottles! I'm like, WTF? That's 42 ounces of beer, what the hell are you going to drink? And what am I going to drink 20 minutes from now when this is gone?

At least he remembered the opener.

Welcome LBean.  Good to have you on board.

Opener? as long as you have a bic lighter, set of drumsticks or a ford or chevy pickup (tailgate) you don't need an opener.   ;D
