Early this week most of the MVP talk centered around Wetzell & Flannery.  Hard to argue giving it to a guy from the conference champs but are they the only deserving candidates?  I think that Theisen from UST & Berg from Auggie Tech should get some consideration.  The stats that both of them put up were rather impressive, understanding that both were on sub standard teams that are nearly 100% pass oriented.  You could even put Penz into the argument I suppose.
I just have a hard time giving it by default to a player on the champs...especially when they don't have someone who jumps out at you.

Sorry, I don't know, but it has to be a neutral conference's crew and they won't fly someone so WIAC, IIAC and MWC.

Zip,
Yeah, I was sitting on the hill right in front of that play.  Unbelievable. It was so very, very clear from my angle.

If I recall correctly it was right in front of Mike Hemmesch as well.

At least one of those refs was so fat he waddled .... and was constantly out of position. Horrible crew.

ROR-are you going to be in attendance on Saturday? If so, can you partake in some Rat antics? Loud booing of the refs, and chants?

While I would love to see Jordan Berg win the MVP, especially based on previous years, I find it difficult to think that either he or Theisen will get the nod.  I fully believe that the two were integral to their teams' performances, I cannot expect either to win over Wetzell.  In that same conversation, if Theissen is to be included in the conversation, Royce Winford must also therefore be as well.  As I have just stated, I don't think either of the three will get the award, I just wanted to tout Royce's numbers vs. Theisen's.  Theisen would be included if the MVP were the default career award, but for this season alone, Royce put up much more impressive numbers.  This ends up being a boring conversation as there are no UST(d) fans to even argue with me!

Though I would love to see Jordan Berg & Royce Winford share the award, I'm not Amaru or any of the other delusional FORMER Auggie posters, and therefore will be shocked if Wetzel doesn't get the award.
Out of order, I'll show you out of order! You don't know what out of order is, Mr Task! I'd show you but I'm too old, I'm too tired, and I'm too f----n blind. If I were the man I was 5 years ago, I'd take a FLAMETHROWER to this place. Out of order, who the hell do you think you're talking to?

Yes, I plan to be in attendance.

I'd be thrilled to come out of retirement for a day.

Someone more clever than I needs to come up with some chants that play off the dog theme.

I also think the Shoe Crewtm needs to come up with something to incite another St. Norbert's Seth moment.

I am not sure if this has been brought up yet, but what does everyone think of UST's coach resigning yesterday?  Any guesses to who may replace him?

Per Dark Star, it's going to be Bud Grant.

I'm thinking of applying. ;D

I'll be screening for coordinator positions this Saturday behind the double wide double tall.  Primary consideration will be shotgunning skill.

When a coach leaves D-3 schools does it usually mean his assistants are gone too?  Does the incoming coach have as much latitude over who he keeps as he would at a D1 school?  Most of these assistants have other jobs at the school, right?
