I am not sure if this has been brought up yet, but what does everyone think of UST's coach resigning yesterday?  Any guesses to who may replace him?
On a serious note, how about the coach from Cretin Derham Hall?  Might be able to get some of the studs they keep turning out there.

Are you kidding?  Pretty sure UST has a restriction on hiring "long-haired freaky people".  Mike Scanlon certainly fits that category.  Great coach, though...but I don't see him leaving for UST-- at least, not right now.

Shooter had reported about a year ago about something to the effect of "prominent alumni had advocated for Dave Nelson to take over the UST job".  I wouldn't be shocked if that is the case.

What about Paul Miller?  He would do very well with the resources UST could offer.  For an up and comer, what about Luke Tressel?

I am very interested to see who UST brings in. With their resources there is no reason they shouldn't succeed. If I were an alum I would want them to bring in a high flying coach, no matter the cost. I can't imagine their alums are very satisfied with the last 10 years and they need someone who can change that program 180.

I would think they'd go after Dave Nelson with all they have. Tonka gave him a great package, but everyone has a price and apparently he does, as no one thought he would ever leave Blaine.

I don't think Coach Miller will have interest in this job and I'm not sure whether St. Thomas would want to go after him after the last 6 years of jumping around and mediocrity. I'm a huge Coach Miller fan, but having went up to see him coach in Deer River this year, he seems very content up there waiting out till retirement at their family cabin.

In terms of coordinators, when Olaf hired Coach Meidt he was regarded as the top coordinator in the conference, who would that be now? Are there any young coordinators up and coming? Coach McCarthy at St. Olaf is a former UST coach, but thats about all I can think of.

Flash - too bad that belt doesn't hold six beers.  If it did I'm sure you would already have at least two of them in your closet. :)

UST SUCKS! That's why they won't succeed.

Next topic;
93 year old guy came in yesterday to get his meds refilled before he heads to Florida for the winter.
As I'm finishing up he asks for some Viagra samples because, "Those women down there expect me to go like a 70 yr old and I don't wanna disappoint them!"

Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

I am not a fan of Paul Miller.  I was not impressed with his work at either St. Olaf or Hamline.  My friends tell me that he is fine coach, but is he the right man.  I am not sure that the EP or CDH coaches would find the Tommie job to be a promotion.  The trend in the MIAC seems to be for assistant coaches to move up the ladder, and possibly from the South.  Knowing St. Thomas though, they will probably try to get Mike Tice to take the job.

For MVP I will have to go with Flannery. He was the best player in the MIAC this year.  I would like to vote for Penz, but he had some tough games.  Flannery always seemed to play his best.

If Flannery wins the MVP of the MIAC, then chalk up Koefed as the #1 pick in the NFL draft!  Plus, any word on if Adam Swingdorf getting votes for MVP.  19 rushing TD's on the year with a few TD catches.
