Didn't No. 2 pull his hat a little early ... ?

I noticed that during the game and was a little surprised the refs didn't nail him for it.

57 you sure talk a lot of smack.  It woulda been a pleasure to meet you at the Olaf Homecoming game.  I'll have to place a call to BlueDevil Bob, the membership chairman for the CAC, to see if he thinks you merit entry into the club (you and Mrs57 did stop at his store correct??).  Good Luck sir.

Rumor has it that the Little Wiener Dog has bowed OUT of the shotgunning on Saturday for fear of retaliation from the hated rent-a-cops of SJU.  Man somebody is getting extremely SOFT in his old age or he is afraid to get embarrassed by the President.  You decide MIAC PP.

EDIT: Thanks Shoes that is exactly what I was thinking RE: Zima.  Never seen it in can form.  Maybe 57 needs to brush up on his liquor store knowledge...

Buckwheat - bring your "A" game on Saturday because you are going to need it!  I'm taking you down.
Go Johnnies!!!

I'm sure going to hate missing the cage match.  8)

Buckwheat - have you been able to confirm the appearance of George Foreman I for Saturday's game?  I trust with your connections that it will not be a problem.
Go Johnnies!!!

57. can you save me a spot for Saturday's game?  Work has been hell the last couple of weeks, and I surely don't want to miss another game.  Appreciate it if I were to be put in the regular spot.  Thanks.
Everyday is payday in paradise.

"Crawling out of the woodwork"  thanks to the invitation from some of the Johnny posters I met at the Bethel/St.John's game last Saturday.   This comes after being hammered three years ago for a post made at that time. (A mild sample follows from OAS)

What a great day last Saturday at Bethel! I am now back home near Tacoma, WA after watching Bethel beat St. John's and meeting some of the St. John's posters before the game at the Stiftungsfestivities.  Nice to meet ROR, Carbo, Ritz72, Frank Rickard, KR and others. You are all a lot nicer that I imagined! If I left anyone out, I apologize.

Redland's fans – Join the Stiftungsfest at St. John's on Saturday!  You will get a warm welcome.

OAS – Nice picture by ROR in the gallery!!!  I suppose you have ordered a couple dozen.

Coach Gagliardi was right again... only one who voted (had to) for Bethel in the Pre-season Coach's Poll!  Might call it "self-fulfilling prophecy".

Walking off the field after the game after meeting #47-Darin Schwarze (ILB) from Stanwood, WA, said 'Nice game' to one of the St. John's players. "Thank you, sir!"  That's class even in a loss.

Hope to see a Bethel/St. John's rematch on December 1st.  Is there an open invitation to the Stiftungsfest? – I will be there.  Anybody know if the Metrodome is available on that day? Seems like the place for a game of that magnitude  to be played!  Could probably get 20,000 in the dome for the game.

Finally, nice article in "Around the Region" by Adam Johnson on Logan "Scrubby's Revenge" Flannery!

Good luck Royals AND Johnnies!

Happy to give you your first +k, Mr. Tacoma.

Watching the Oregon - Arizona game and wondering who they recruit in D1 ... Ariz punted to the Ducks but the punt hit and took a huge backwards hop and instead of downing the ball, four (4!) Ariz players stood around "protecting" the ball as it continued to roll back toward the LOS. WTF ???

I may not post for a bit - we have a lot on our plate out here, what with the Oregon loss and Barry Bonds' indictment.  I am struck with grief. :'( :'(  Good thing I was able to laugh my ass off reading the pages posted today. :D

Is Fins already gone north?

Let's not discuss coverage of punts (or free kicks) just yet.   ;)

Yeah I was thinking the exact same thing.

Did anyone notice the blatant holding on a 3rd down by SJU go uncalled leading to their first TD then the official make a questionable holding against SJU on their next drive?

I'm looking for a big game out of our receivers tomorrow.  I was very encouraged early on at Bethel from some outstanding catches of slightly off line passes from AK11 and thought it would be a sign of what would be coming.  Then we decided to play "smash mouth" and run between the tackles the second half.  Hopefully, Jimmi G will have enough confidence in AK11 at home to let him air it out, cause these guys will catch it if it's anywhere near them. :)

Hey BU5758, I've only been posting here for a couple of months and have stopped by a few SF's and I definitely agree with you...this is a great bunch of folks.   ;D  The Metrodome looks to be available 12/1.  Their calendar only lists the normal roller skating party in the concourses from 2-6, which I would guess could be pushed upstairs.  Vikings are there the 2nd, so don't know if they need the field on Saturday for any preparations.  But we're getting a head of things a bit here, got to get there first. ;)

That is a terrible idea.

1) The metrodome is a horrid place to play a game.
2) Even 20,000 in that place looks terribly sparse.

Duff, you'll look at this a bit differently when you'r 30 years older. (or 40 years older as some us are).  Agree about the atmosphere, but at least you can get a seat without showing up 2 hours before the game and it's not grass and it's not wet and it's not windy, all situations that we don't seem to handle very well. ;D

Sorry, but I disagree.  While Bethel is a crappy place to play, the Metrodome might suck even more.  While it may offer more in terms of viewer comfort, I would be happy never watching or playing (not that I have to worry about playing another game) another game there.
