I know comparing scores- wins and losses is suspect...
 e.g BV over Bethel  21-16
However...
St. John's beats River Falls  21-10
River Falls beats Eau Claire 27-20
Of course Bethel has a chance next Saturday...
Bethel 21-EauClaire 10
Dec. 1  St. John's at Bethel(Again!)

Seems to me that St. John's has to get by Central first on Nov. 24.  Don't count your chickens...........

For the record, this was a BU-fan who had the rematch scheduled on Dec 1.  A couple things would need to happen for that to occur.  I don't think any Johnnie fan here is even thinking about Dec 1.  Next weekend against Central is as far as we can see.

Dear WIAC and IIAC,

Regarding next week, in the words of my close personal friend Ivan Drago, " You will lose. "

Looks as though it was a solid day runnin the ball for Patnode and the offensive line as well as a solid day out of the back field for Patnode.  Are Schnobrich and Blackmore hurt or just not gettin the rock?  Nontheless money performances by both MIAC teams.

Don't start making travelling plans for a SJU-Bethel matchup yet. This is a different Central squad from last year.

Congrats to the Johnnies on a great win.  Good Luck the rest of the way.  Turnovers have been the achilles heel of the Dawgs the last two years, it was again today.
It was alot of fun kidding around with all the MIAC guys all week, you guys are great smack talkers , all in good fun.  I dont ever remember talking about burgers so much before.

MONKEY STOMP! MONKEY STOMP!

Good game.  Not a perfect game by any means, but it was a solid team effort.

Duff's thoughts on the game:

The Johnnie defensive line put a lot of pressure on their QB, but we had a tough time actually sacking him.  He did a fantastic job of staying in the pocket and making quality throws under pressure.

Special teams looked very good today.

The reffing left much to be desired.

I don't think the Redlands team has seen a chop block before.  This really sprung our normally lackluster option play several times.

Mike Patnode--WOW!  This guy had a phenomenal day.  A lot of his success is due to the o-line, but he really brought his "A" game today.

Please talk to the Bethel fans that are making such a prediction.  They know not what they say.  After all, this is uncharted territory for Bethel.

Central is always tough.  Even if SJU loses, I'll get my Dutch letters.  Redlands is a good team.  I think they got a bit over-shocked when SJU pulled ahead of them by two TDs.  A good solid team that represented itself and its conference well.  I know the Linfield fans told me to "phone it in" that SJU would lose and, based upon SJU's performance last week, I thought that they may be right.  I'm glad to be able to phone in the opposite of what they predicted.  I'm glad Bethel finally won a playoff game even if it was against a team from the Irrelevant-Bad (Illini-Badger) Conference.   Bethel had better strap in on for UW-EC.  I hope they win and SJU wins so that SJU can get some payback at Brothelville.

Need help from all you techie types......How do I post a photo for an avatar?  I have a great photo from one of my favorite coaches, Joe Glenn.  You can either respond here or via PM.  The site says you need a URL address, I have the photo saved on my computer.

Mr.Shoes

Nice game by the Johnnies today. I thought they came out a little flat, but that 3-minute blitzkrieg at the end of the half sure turned things around. The entire second half looked solid, despite the defense's new bend-more-than-makes-the-fans-comfortable-but-still-don't-break technique and the bad INT. I could definitely see the entire team get more confident—something that wasn't there against Bethel and was even lacking a bit in the UST arsekicking. Let's hope this was a sign of things to come next week.

One thing I have to note: I don't know if Redlands put in their backups when we did, but I was absolutely impressed by the running of Billy Ryan. He pounded that ball up the middle and was extremely difficult to take down. He ran out the clock by himself there at the end. Nice work!
Nice day, huh?

MIAC vs IIAC next week, we could end up with these same WIAC clowns "officiating".

Nope, "L" says that the crew from today's game in Collegeville will not be in Pella next weekend.  He also said that UW-Eau Claire is no good and he has no idea how they made the playoffs.  Then again, after today's reffing performance I'm not sure if you can trust anything they say.  They struggled.

Good times had by all.  The Johnnies could have played better--how bad would that blowout have been?

Nice meeting everyone, the Redlandses, etc., etc.

Agree with Shoes--the second string line was absolutely destorying people at the end of the game.  They were running with a real purpose.
