where you been Wonks?...it's been a while...predictions for Sat : SJU 24 - Central 17...Bethel 21 - BluGolds 10.......I can't help but think that Bethel's ball control offense and stellar Defense will play extremely well to the cold weather that the D3 national playoffs bring...thoughts?

Does anyone have any idea what conference officiating crew well get this weekend? We had a questionable MIAC crew and if Im not mistaken in the articles I read some of you Johnnies weren't impressed with the WIAC crew you had?!? Just wondered if anyone had that information....not that it should matter as the Dutch won't need any help sending the Johnnies home with their tail between their legs!  ;D

Are you guys bringing the famous stiftungfest (sorry for the spelling) festivities down Saturday? There will be a group of Dutch alumni players in the West end of the green lot which is south of Schipper Stadium drinking some brewskis. You will probably have to bring your own Hamms though! :)

DutchHawk;  Is that a half-ass invitation or are you really rolling out the welcome wagon for the Johnnies?

Bloody hell, I'm gone for a day and a half and 11 pages roll by.

Won't be back again until game time (if anyone is dying to read my wondrous writing).  Safe trip and loud cheering to those going to Pella.  See the rest of you on the Internets.

GO JOHNNIES!

I think I recall Pat saying it would be a MWC officiating crew. But  then again, I have "Oldtimers."

Damn it feels like Friday night, wish that the Johnnies were kicking arse tomorrow instead of making us wait another two days.  Happy thanksgiving everyone and safe travels to all.
Everyday is payday in paradise.

Dutch,

That was far from my favorite crew.It seems like there were plenty complaints around these boards about other conference crews at work last weekend. The WIAC crew blew some big calls at Collegeville and the  other regions have plenty of grousing too.

I know you guys have heard too much about Gagliardi this week but one of his stock lines is that he's tried to buy Christmas cards for officials, but couldn't find any in Braille.

Geez, if we get a MWC crew they will be seeing the best, fastest ball they've seen all season by both teams. (And they might not flinch if a player on the losing side flips off the home crowd .... not that a Johnnie or Dutch player would do that.)

the more the marrier Dusty, we'll have some quality Iowa Bratwurst on the grill and I think the flavor of the day, in honor of both teams proclivity for the same color should be Killians or Leinenkugels RED.

Happy Turkey Day MIAC posters, or is it Lutefisk up in da' nort woods, eh?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

I may not be able to make it back on the boards until after the epic battle on Saturday is over.  I look for a hard fought game and a Johnnie victory.  Safe travels to all and I'll see you at the tailgate.
Go Johnnies!!!

Greetings from the Mountain Time Zone and *&$#^ing dial-up internet!

I've been slooooooowly catching up on my reading and wanted to throw out a few random comments:
• TC, way to use actual fact and logic with those IIAC guys. It completely shut them up...if only because they couldn't understand it.
• shouldabeen, with great karma powers comes great responsibility...and really bad paraphrases of movie quotes.
• TDT, nice post on JF.com
• Duff, ditto
• fins, I didn't forget you. Nice work.
• I'd go through and do a +k run, but waiting for the pages to load is too painful.

I hope I get some time to check in before Saturday. I also hope I get to listen to the game over the interwebs. Posting here while listening would just be icing on the cake.
Nice day, huh?

Thanks shoes...you da man!!  :-*

Happy Thanksgiving to all.
I'm thankful today for Hamm's and the 3 fresh cases I was able to find at Westside on the east side today. See, Cashwise advertised it this week for $8.97/case and retail is $11.99. All the stores match each other's prices here and, while I'm not adverse to shopping at Cashwise, traffic was bad this afternoon and I was pressed for time while near Cub, so I pulls in there. I grab a cart and wheel to the beer cooler and...  :o :o no Hamm's  :o :o. I turn and see Bernick's local sales manager, who happens to be with 2 brewery district reps and the Miller rep from Milwaukee. So one of the reps is on the phone right away calling the warehouse to find out what's the deal with Hamm's, is there anymore in the warehouse, etc. etc. I'm thinking to myself I've created a local Hamm's crisis? The Miller rep says to me that's really a strong brand for us in this market. I just smiled.
