T-2 hours til the Little Wiener Dog comes to pick me up.  We should be rollin' into scenic Iowa by 6pm or so.

TIME TO COME CLEAN:

Which one of you a$$ clowns were out with the crazy middle aged women at Kohl's or the like chasing "bargains" this morning for Black Friday?

Pat,

I think the confusion about being able to post from a Blackberry has to do with how the pages are displayed.  I had a Treo and the pages would load and show as they would on the computer.  With my Blackberry the PP section has a completely diffferent look, and I was under the same impression that we could not post from Blackberries.  After KCDutch's message earlier today I went in to the main PP page and you can login, but you have to know to scroll all the way through to the bottom of page past all the other sports.

I had a blackberry 7100 and the pages displayed as they do on my computer, but when I "upgraded" to the 8800 everything changed - now I get no pictures or graphics, and no formatting (quotes don't show up as quotes, etc.); all I get is plain text.  Very strange.

24 hours til game time. TDT and Veek, have a safe trip and hope to meet up next week for the regional final.

Incredibly bored at work, and that's an understatement. I just read about Stiftungsfestivities on the JF website. Sounds like a pretty cool tailgate tradition. Central definitely lacks a good tailgating atmosphere for the most part. I assume you will be in Pella in full force?

Also, I was telling one of my buddies from Iowa about St. John's program.  I told him about the "No's" and coach G. and his first question was "do they ever win any games?" I just laughed because I couldn't explain it. Is the beautiful day drill still used in practice or whatever it was called.

Im an a$$ clown, but I didn't go shopping. However, middle aged women look pretty darn good to me.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Anti Johnnies whore...wow, I love it.

Nothing free on this trip.  I mean unless Larry Happel, one of the best SIDs in all of D3, wants to throw me some Dutch letters upon my arrival!!

I think it will be a very good close game.  Lots of red and white.  Can't wait to be there and escape the family!

You are correct, TDT and i went to Central /Wartburg back in 2005.

PS  I'm wearing a Central shirt right now.

St. Paul Central?

You can post from a piece of fruit? That's awesome. I'll have to try that.

Which is a worse game to watch right now? Stephen-Argyle win No. 67 in a row, or a bad game between Nebraska and Colorado?

The Stephen Argyle game is bad.  9-man football is bad for that matter.  It is just painful to watch.  What's the deal with Argyle anyways.  Do they just have stellar athletes year in and year out or what?  Time to turn in the pigskin for a little and watch some puck on FSN.  9-man football has me questioning my motives.

Are all your Bethel shirts in the laundry ???
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

onearmedscot

Bethel, Linfield, St. Olaf, etc.  They're all dirty.

It is cold in IA.  About 20 degrees.

OAS,

My experience shows that when someone says the are "not intimidated by" it means it's in their head and they are for sure intimidated.

Any chance you could change your prediction?  I am intimidated by that.

As long as they are not blue.  Red, however, would be a good choice.

I'm guessing that the reporter asked Tim something to prompt that response. I'm sure that he didn't just pull that out of nowhere and I doubt we're intimidated whatsoever. If you haven't noticed, we have a pretty salty squad ourselves and are finally getting healthy so I don't think Tim is shaking in his Nikes about the Johnnies. What's a Johnnie by the way?

I was there; trust me, he was shaking.  The reporting kept asking about the totally rad Central passing attack and the give-up-yardage-like-a-Hennipen-Ave-professional-giving-out-STD-advice defense, and all the coach could say was "we're not intimidated."  It was like he was fixated or something.

Reminds me of some advice I got when I was about 18 or 19.  An man was telling me how he knew he was getting old.  There was a time when he would see a hot young girl walking down the street with her mother and he would think, "damn, she's hot."  One day he realized he meant the mother, and that was the day he knew he was getting old.

Since both teams where red, will we be able to distinguish the Johnnies' supporters by their blue ears?  Or do they turn blue in December?

You'll be able to tell the Johnnies because they'll be standing wear all the people are smiling and passing around high fives.

OK, so if I miss the blue ears and fargo accent, I'll go with your suggestion...but why would you be cheering for the Dutch?
