DutchHawk I like your style.  Stay classy.  I love Tostito's hint of lime Chips and am going to go eat a whole bag by myself right now.  Rough day for the Johnnies...sounds  like it was painful today...thats too bad cause I was looking forward to a rematch against my Bethel Royals next weekend...looks like Central is the real deal and it should be a good showdown next weekend...I've stated it before and I'll state it again, Bethel's style of play bodes very well for them in cold weather playoff games...I like Bethel to win 17-14 next weekend.  I was at the game today in Arden Hills and thought the MVP of the game was firstly, their OLINE and secondly there fullback Dusty Wahl....that kids a killer...Bethel is clutch and they will play well next weekend in Pella and after that..................the Mount... I leave you with an inspirational quote from Mike Tyson..."I'm a dreamer, I have to dream and shoot for the stars...and if I miss the stars, I'll grab a handful of clouds."....WHAT DOES THAT MEAN????????

Congratulations to the Johnnies on a great season.  We know you are a better team than most people would look at the results and see, but Central just played a whale of a game today.  They played perfect football for 57 minutes today.

Bethel fans, we look forward to seeing you in Pella next Saturday.  Safe travels to you all.  The Johnnie "O" may have had difficulties getting in the end zone today, but the fans scored big time at the bakery.  There wasn't a Dutch letter left at Jaarsma's after the game.  I'm not even sure they sell out during Tulip Time.  Hopefully they will be better prepared for the MIAC fans next week!

Best of luck to the Royals.

The MIAC champions vs. the IIAC champions. Something has to give. It should be a battle next week in Pella.

Please, Royal fans- support your team. You should pack at least 3 fan buses and  a bunch more road trips. Check out the town, sample the Dutch Letters. This is the play-offs, so hit the road. You never know when the ride will end, so don't make the excuse that you'll go "next week". You do know this is for the West Region Championship, right? If you win the team gets a trophy. So get that crazy bunch of guys that goes shirtless with R-O-Y-A-L-S painted on their chests & get your butts to Pella next week!
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Congrats to Central on a good win.  The Johnnies played like s#!!.  I think we all need to face it that they just were not inconsistent this year.  That was a very tough game to watch, unless you were a Central fan.  I don't want to take anything away from Central because they played a great game and were, by a long shot, the best team today.  I don't know if the J's have a leader on that team and it seemed like they were just going through the motions from the very beginning.  Oh well, at least I stocked up at Jaarsma's.  Good luck to Bethel next week.  Whomever wins next week will only have one more week to play because neither will get by MUC.

SJU needs to get rid of that stupid option.  I'm excited to see a new QB next year.  Koefed is a nice kid but I am disappointed in that he is not much better this year than he was as a freshman.   Hansel should be a good drop back passer like Ross Denne was in 2002.  The O line will hopefully be better next year.  I am disappointed with how they blocked this year for the run.  We should have had a much better running game this year than we did.  The Center was good but at least half of the O line was not nearly as athletic as what we've been used to for many years.

I seem to remember a certain team beating MUC a few years back in the Stagg Bowl when a lot of people had written them off as contenders for second place.  I have a feeling that if today's score were reversed, SJU fans would be likening the '07 Johnnies to the '03 championship team.  Based on some of the comments here Johnnies fans have a bad taste in their mouths from today's game (the Hamm's probably doesn't help), and they're taking out their frustrations on the Dutch.  I hope that whomever emerges from this bracket gives MUC a run for their money because it will increase the prestige of our entire region and prove that IIAC/MIAC teams are truly worthy of a #1 seed.

Congrats to the Johnnies on an outstanding season. All "talk" aside, we respect the hell out of your program and everything you do in Collegeville. I hope our visitors had safe travels. Congrats to the Johnnie Seniors for an amazing four year run!

I wasn't in Pella for the game, but the Johnnie's Football Network did a great job keeping me abreast of the happenings.  We turned on the game at noon just past Worthington as we crossed the Minnesota/Iowa line and listened to the whole game.  It ended just as we were pulling into Waterloo where we stopped to see our future Knight granddaughter.  As I had said earlier in the year, the Johnnies have a first class radio team braodcasting their games.  This has to be a real boost to the Johnnies.  How many other D3 football programs have a radio station blasting out their games the way St. Johns has it done?  Sorry about the game, but I thought I had to once again salute the Johnnies' radio

Another Dutch fan echoing DF1's comment.  We have lots fo respect for the Johnnie program, after all you have been where we want to be, maybe this is the next step in that progression.

Kofoed wasn't all that terrible today, he got some pressure, but most frequently he couldn't find an opening.  Several good tosses were knocked down by the Dutch d-backs.  Lots of speed there!  One pick was a toss up inthe end zone, the other a great read by Lehn (Dutch MLB) to jump on one of those skinny post/slant routes.  Connell and Schuring at to top of their game as was the Dutch D.

Welcome to Pella, Royals fans, we're ready!

Congratulations to Central on a dominating victory today.  You guys were on a mission today and executed nearly flawlessly.

Thanks for the hospitality extended to us.  Thanks to AD Al Dorenkamp for stopping by early this morning to welcome us to Central.

The fresh Dutch letters were awesome.  Unfortunately, it went downhill from there.

I'd have to say that Oz is right, I don't think there are many(or any) Johnnie fans that would compare this team to the '03 team even if they would have won today.  This team didn't have the right pieces to get the job done this year.  Hopefully the Jordan Hensel era will provide the next step...

There was never any risk of this year's team being confused for the 2003 team.  You should try reading the posts that have occurred on this board during the entire season.  I think that would help you become a little more informed.

Thank you to the St. John's seniors for the past four years of pouring your hearts and souls into Johnnie football.  You had a great four year run and did St. John's proud.  Without you outstanding young men the joy I and so many others take from all that is Johnnie football would not be possible.

Go Johnnies!
