Great effort today from Bethel on the road and in crappy conditions. You never know, the games aren't played on paper but you'll have to play out of your gourds to get the Raiders. Good luck, safe travels everyone.

Newsflash...We've got Dan Einerson...different talents and not much of a drop off...
I'd love to agree with you, but I don't think that's the case.  Einerson might have a little better arm, but he isn't the dual threat the wetzell is.  He's got a little bit of speed, but he will not break tackles like wetzell.

And you thought it was cold today, the snowball in hell will be in no danger of melting next week.

I don't think many people have any illusions that bu will win next week, in fact I think we'll get routed,  but we're proud of our team, and we're still cheering them on in december. how 'bout you stanbob?

Good job Bethel!  Enjoy it for another week because I doubt that you'll get by MUC.  I hope I'm wrong.  Make no mistake about it: you guys will not run, run, run against MUC.  Johnson and the others had better think up some passing plays this week.  If you remain one-dimensional, MUC will destroy you.   If you go there with a chip on your shoulders and hit them extremely hard on every play, like SJU did in 2003, you may have a chance.  This week had better be all on how to pass yourselves and on how to defend the pass.  MUC can pass and run extremely well, usually.  Their kicking game/punting game was weak the times I watched them in years past.  This is because they barely ever have to kick field goals or punt the ball.  I truly hope you knock them off.   MUC is a class program with a great coach.  I wish I were making the trip again to Alliance even if it would be to see the Johnnies lose.

The last time Mount lost in the playoffs it was a steady dose of running that won the game for Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Today Mount held SJF to 22 yards on 30 rushes. The thirty first rush went for 30 yards as time expired. No one has successfully rushed on MUC this year.

Few would say that SJF was dedicated to the run.  However, Reile's first four carries went for 3, 9, 4 and 4 yards with 2 first downs picked up in the process.

And that matters why?  Looking at the box score, Mount already had 21 on the board by the time those 4 carries were attempted so how does that matter in any way to next weeks game?  Bethel sure as hell isn't going to win by being down 21 and trying to play ball control.  Maybe expand a little on your thoughts on this and how it applies to Bethel vs. Mount because by itself this comment seems very random without support.

Congrats Bethel. I sure didn't see that coming. Good luck in Alliance.

Not to be picky, but why is it that everytime something good happens for Bethel their coaches in the box go crazy?  It would seem to be a reoccuring theme.....many years of doing this.

It's called excitement.  It heightens as the stakes get higher.

Nice win and best of luck, Royals. Here's hoping you're healthy and at your best in Alliance.
