So, my family is decorating the Christmas tree last night as I supervise with a few cold Hamm's.

Inadequate supervision ;)

+k Shoulda, you nailed it.

Okay MN's I have heard your beloved NSIC conference is going to be revamped again.  I hear its more of a combination of what is left of the NCC and what the NSIC is now.  I know this isnt the d2 board but I did not know if any of you had any insight into this.  BTW, I really think any of the top teams in the MIAC could win the NSIC.  I do not think that SJU, BU, Concordia would have a whole lot of issues playing there.  I think Concordia has been beating MSU Moorhead as of late as well.

I don't understand the smiters either. I was over on the WIAC board to congratulate Beaver and lost some. Another first time poster there had an innocuous post about his being a UW Lax grad and wishing the Warhawks Good Luck. One post and -1 on the karma hit. Klopenheimer, who seems like a good dude also seems to be a little low in the tank, Must just be a lot of A - Holes out there. My only question is - Do A - Holes know they're A - Holes?
When I can give karma I will return the favor.  Much appreciated.
Just get it over with by going over to someone else's board and post six straight nothings.  ;)  Or better yet, go to six under used boards and post "I'm just here to post."

I believe SCSU, UMD, Mankato, and Augustana from the NCC are moving to the NSIC.

Considering UWW struggled with a VERY mediocre SCSU this year, I don't think the MIAC teams are as dominant as you would imply; but I agree, I don't think it would be anything close to beatdownish monkey stomps across the board by the NSIC.  Part of that UWW-SCSU issue may be due to SCSU's number of scholarships-- as it joins the NSIC it will have to reduce its scholarships (from 30 to 24, I believe), and some schools, like Moorhead (I understand) didn't even use all 24.  Hence Concordia's success against them in the past.

The biggest issue about the cross-division games is what benefit does it give you?  For SCSU, a loss to UWW would have been pretty devastating in terms of fan following in a community that already has a D3 team.  While playing up appears to help D3 teams for playoff purposes, it does nothing for the D2 teams.  So unless the D2's are desperate for games-- which will be a smaller problem with the NCC-NSIC "merger"-- I would anticipate a lot fewer games between D2's and D3's in this neck of the woods.

BDB;  My '87 version continues to adorn our tree here in EP...  daughters of DustySJU however have done their best to create an "Anthony Robins" like walk of glass on our hardwood floors....

Sorry to hear of your loss.

Merry Christmas!

Johnnie, I see what you are saying.  The addition of those teams will deffinatly boost that conference.  I played SW MN State before going down to the IIAC to finish my days.  We had 10 scholorships divided over 90 guys.  The facilities and level of comp. coming out of SW MN State, Crookston, Wayne (they had a good year), Moorhead, and Northern was lack luster to what I saw in the IIAC.  Now I know some of these teams are stronger now.  I guess more than anything I was just saying with SJU's history I thought you would see them at the top of that conference.  Augie always has a decent squad.  They were huge compared to us when I played against them.

Didnt they add Upper IA, and Mary as well.  Looks like non of those schools will play non conf. games unless you just do not play certain schools for travel reasons each year.  Then you might have seperate divisions with a conf championship game.  Wow I just go way ahead of myself.  ;D

U DUB-DUB,
I am around, but just barely. I had a stroke at work on Nov28 and have surgery tomorrow morning.  As much as a beverage together would be on my list of things to do Friday night I have a hunch it is not on my surgeons list for my recovery. Watching the game "will be" no matter what he says.
ONE FOR THE OTHER THUMB AS I HAVE SAID ALL YEAR. TRAVEL SAFE AND DRINK IRRESPONSIBLY FOR ME! LOOK FORWARD TO OUR NEXT MEETING. ;)

Posters;  Let's all give it up today for our friend RaiderGuy.  Blessings your way JC.

Another reason why BDB, Flash & Klop venture over here to the MIAC is banter away from football that keeps it light & entertaining. Many other boards are all football all the time, breaking down film blah, blah, blah. There's more to life than that, such as Hamm's  ;)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I see the UWW folks are doing all the same speculations and imaginings that went on here last re how to beat MUC.  Anybody here think UWW can stay within 3 TD's?  What will make them that much better than everyone else MUC has played so far?  Better QB, but that much better?  Beaver better than Flannery, but that much better?  More speed on defense, but what's the difference if you're only three steps behind Gaston instead of five?

janesvilleflash

I venture over here because at least once, and sometimes several times a day, I laugh out loud reading some of the posts. How do you put a price on that.

Since Deal Or No Deal started a new season, I figured they would have a new picture of Lisa on the website.

I was right.  ;D

Shoulda...I think it will be the worst beating yet...MUC seems to have possibly their best team ever...which is saying something...I think it will get ugly in a hurry...52-10 is not out of the realm of possibility...
