I see the UWW folks are doing all the same speculations and imaginings that went on here last re how to beat MUC.  Anybody here think UWW can stay within 3 TD's?  What will make them that much better than everyone else MUC has played so far?  Better QB, but that much better?  Beaver better than Flannery, but that much better?  More speed on defense, but what's the difference if you're only three steps behind Gaston instead of five?

Shoulda...I think it will be the worst beating yet...MUC seems to have possibly their best team ever...which is saying something...I think it will get ugly in a hurry...52-10 is not out of the realm of possibility...

MUC is a DII team in a DIII league... no way around it.

I don't understand the smiters either. I was over on the WIAC board to congratulate Beaver and lost some. Another first time poster there had an innocuous post about his being a UW Lax grad and wishing the Warhawks Good Luck. One post and -1 on the karma hit. Klopenheimer, who seems like a good dude also seems to be a little low in the tank, Must just be a lot of A - Holes out there. My only question is - Do A - Holes know they're A - Holes?

Another reason why BDB, Flash & Klop venture over here to the MIAC is banter away from football that keeps it light & entertaining. Many other boards are all football all the time, breaking down film blah, blah, blah. There's more to life than that, such as Hamm's 

And hockey!  (but I am part of the Leinie's contingent, which believes it is the among Wisconsin's best exports, so I will trade in my Hamm's for two Leinie's.).

I thought there was some "deflationary device" on the back end of d3football.com to ensure that our collective karma didn't approach Bodhisattva territory, which may explain the rash of "smiting".

Too bad Mount Union has already locked up with St. John Fisher.  Though I wouldn't mind trading one sainted John for another!  One of my football dreams is to one day go to Collegeville for a SJU-MUC game wearing my collar and sit with a monk.

I think you may be on to something.  While I don't personally think it will be a blowout this weekend, I see the final score ending up in just one of two ways.  I think it will either be a close, one possesion game, or a blowout with Mount Union starting to put things away in the second quarter and closing the door early in the third.  My hunch/guess is that even with Mount's team this year being so good, UWW matches up well with them.  UWW can strike where Mount is a little weaker, and can probably hold their own, even if they don't win the battle, against Mount's strengths.  I see it as a 4-7 point win.

Non stop football talk makes me want to gouge my eyeballs out.  There is much more to life.  I error to the side of Grainbelt but understand the Hamms.

Here is my thinking:  With the exception of SJU, whenever Mount plays somebody in a rematch, or in this case, 3 straight years, they seem to figure out even more ways to expose them...so my thinking is it will be the worst beating that the Warhawks have suffered in the Stagg yet...can you really say UWW is stronger than they were last year, I think you can say that about Mount...

We'll have to check out the MSU bookstore.  Maybe there will be a good and informative book about how Halloween costumes and toys perpetuate "gender stereotypes" and "roles."  Maybe there's a good book about which neutered, mindless nickname/mascots have been approved by the NC00 Schutstaffel.  Incidentally, one of my partners, the one who is female, was complaining about how the staff, who are all female, gang up and pick on a different female staff peson every so often.  Evidently,  a different person gets the yick yack attack every so often.  I simply told her that nature was simply doing what it always does and that it was God's way of pointing out the reality that women should not be in the workplace.  We all had a good laugh.  My wife's already learned that lesson.  I wonder if Brice and I will find a book about that stereotype at the MSU bookstore.

Family tradition to vacation in the nordt country every year.  Around the leech lake area.  Family tradition was drinking Grain Belt.  Dad gave me one when i turned 18 on the family trip and never tasted something so good.  Turned quite a few of my friends onto it as well.  They had never heard of it and now they love it as well.  I still have a few of them that error to Hamms.  You can buy it warm at the grocery store and cool it down on ice in the cooler on a hot summer day.  I liked grain belt so much i bought a graint belt t shirt online just to promote my passion
