Read the WIAC board for your humor today.

BoBo's latest discussion concerns how handily UWEC would have beaten Bethel had their QBs not been injured, then Central, then on to Mount ... and ... well, maybe an all WIAC Stagg Bowl.  [I do not want any of what he's smokin' - I got work to do. :-[ ]

QuoteAnother true story.  One of my all time favorite player interviews was with a Stout player several years ago.  When I noticed his major was "Packaging", I asked him what he planned on doing with his degree when he graduated.  He replied, "Package, I guess."

Packaging?  OMG. :o

And flash continues to lampoon the board with humor:

Sneakypete,

Check the photo titled Walnut and Bronze I posted earlier today.....pretty good shot of you.  Watched the video tonight and I am still trying to determine which call was worse; Blake's non-TD or the non holding call when you were mugged during Mount's only TD.  Hope all is well.

TMerts,

TDT and I started the WIAC academic conversation today.....it started with one of the brains over there discussing the "Roads Scholarship" and I added the "Cardboard Packaging" major from Stout.  Stoutguy was just verifying the scholastic talents of the WIAC.

What is the whole WIAC board smoking.  Maybe there is something in the cheese.  I am amazed sometimes the discussion about second round games and UWEC beating Bethel.

BTW is anyone catching any fish, or spearing any fish.  Would like to hear about some nice walleye or pikes being flopped on the floor of the shanty.  Lets just hope they did not spill the Hamms/Grainbelt ;D

Better check who you are quoting... BoBo did not say UWEC would beat Central and Mount Union...

To you and the rest of the MIAC posters:

My examples were using silly extremes as to how UWEC would have fared with the starting QB the hole year. So I took it from a 2-0 start to a 2-8 finish... or, playing along with that theme, the opposite extreme would have been to go undefeated... and lose to Whitewater a second time, finishing at 13-2...

Do I think they would have beaten Central and Mt. Union? Not sure... We'll never know... I was speaking figuratively, not literally, but if you want to say I said they would, go ahead...

If "if's" and "but's" were candy and nuts we'd all have a Merry Christmas.

Normally, I could care less about what is posted on the No Fun Board, but this mind-numbing positioning for greatness is really tiring.  It seems like it's not enough to actually win everything, but they have to fantasize about how much better it could have been with a bit of luck.  I have never seen a champion (or those associated with them) feel the need to talk up winning the whole figgin' thing like this.  It's almost like we have more respect for what they have done then they have themselves.

Customer appreciation day at the local watering hole yesterday. Free food and beer. I feel like I have been drug through a sick cats ass.

Please forgive me if I'm stating the obvious here but, isn't Stout a Poly-Tech University? It would make sense that they would have degrees in Cardboard Packaging. Wisconsin is the home to many large paper & cardboard plants. Somebody had to design that box your Wheaties you had for breakfast  came in. Perhaps the greatest contribution a UW-Stout Packaging Major has given to MIACPP ,and may I add the entire free world, was the package design for the Hamm's 30-pack. Prior to this one could only enjoy their Hamm's in a 24-can case.  ;)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I was out Saturday and Monday.  Saturday I picked up two measly walleyes and Monday just a little pike.  Almost had heart attacks both days from trudging through the snow and slush.

It is actually a real degree.  We employ two packaging engineers where I work (both Stout grads).  They even had a packaging intern over the summer, also from Stout.

+k for that dedication.  I have been trying to get a trip planned to head up around the Hackensack area but everyone is telling me the ice is a bit suspect and the permanite shacks are few and far between this year due to poor ice conditions.  Not a good thing if your considering hiding out in the shack after Christmas dinner and hiding from the family ;)

Klop,
Do you or anyone you know have a portable fish house? They work out well in conditions like this. The down side is this, if you feel the ice is poor, do you want to risk pulling to portable to your spot with an ATV? If not, you can drag it out yourself, but you risk the previously mentioned heart attack. Or better yet, go to the bar and drink as if you are in a fish house then pick up some fish sticks at the grocery store on your way home  :D

Oh yes, Packaging is a big major here at Stout. Besides Hamm's, what else would you have to do without if it wasn't packaged properly?  ;)

My favorite major here though is Fashion Merchandising. The barbie dolls from Minnesota come over here for that major.

They are referred to locally as "merchies."  ;D

From Shooter today:

The University of St. Thomas, which has had about 50 inquiries for its football coaching vacancy, expects nearly 100 before the evaluation process ends.

Does that mean they are behind?  Or is UST like the kid at the party who isn't as cool as he thinks he is?

My buddy has one of those guide serries flip ups made my Clam.  It is plenty roomy and with a sunflower heater on a propane tank you darn near sit in there without a jacket on.  Pulling it to the middle of Leech Lake might not be the best idea for the ticker, so quit running marathons last week ;D  Now I really do like your idea about sitting in a bar and eating fish sticks.  That might be the way to go.  Iv'e had a sweet idea for a ice fishing themed bar that would include all the best things about ice fishing with out heading out onto the frozen lake.
