I also noticed that they decided that SJU couldn't have made the playoffs with UWEC's schedule and QB woes. Funny thing, at SJU far more than three guys would have to get hurt before we run out of competent QBs...

Dammit. I read the MIAC board before the WIAC one this visit and posted this before seeing that VOJ already made that point over there. Oops.

that is ok...its strengthens my argument!

Sorry to say I didn't get it, but here's an 18+ pounder from a couple of weeks ago...

Did you spear that monster?  My old man speared a 17 pounder a couple years ago and he still talks about how he had to hold his hand under the surface to pin the beast to the bottom.  Went and made himself an extra long spear straight away.

That fish was harpooned by the guy in the photo. Don't have an extra long spear as it tends to be unwieldy with the roof of the house, but my dad taught me the benefits of keeping 2 spears in the house.
The 34.5 inch fish that I got this year, as I turned to toss it out the door, it bit the leg of my folding chair and wouldn't let go. I'm jerking, kicking and laughing my ass off, all at the same time. That sucker sure didn't want to let go.

Regarding, UWEC, they had amazingly bad luck at QB this year. Quote fom bulk 19 after their play-off loss.
"One of the Blugold receivers who can catch the ball, Tony Hull - in fact, our top wideout - was actually playing quarterback today... He's our sixth QB on the season, making his first collegiate start at the position, in his final game. Hull was filling in for our fifth-string QB, who, despite being knocked out for today's game last week, put us into the playoffs this year, in part by passing to the Hull, the guy who played QB today...Considering Tony Hull hasn't played QB since high school, I think he did the best he could under a week's worth of practice, and wasn't going to be airing it out... He ran the option today, kept the team in the ball game, and they just came up short..."

I think they had a spectacular season given their major QB woes.

Anyway, after tailgating with the Mount for the 3rd time, wanted to say how much I appreciate the Johnnies fans and posters.  In my experience, they don't get any better than the Johnnies, Wabash Little Giants, Linfield Cats and the UMHB Cru fans.  Thanks for your support of the Warhawks during the last few weeks.  Johnnies and Hawks beating the Raiders in the Stagg Bowl!  Great company.  Happy holidays to all and good luck to the Johnnies and their fans next season.  My best to Blue Devil Bob and the family.

Same wishes for your family fb413.  :)

Nice job winning the pick 'em contest this year.

Now, had you got that done last year, you and I and janesvilleflash would still be nursing our level 5's after killing bottles of Captain Morgan.

I don't think that has slowed down the flash, however.  ;D

One of my favorite Dustin Hoffman scenes from Little Big Man, in light of the results of this year's Stagg Bowl.

Jack Crabb: General, you go down there.

General Custer: You're advising me to go into the Coulee?

Jack Crabb: Yes sir.

General Custer: There are no Indians there, I suppose.

Jack Crabb: I didn't say that. There are thousands of Indians down there. And when they get done with you, there won't be nothing left but a greasy stain. This ain't the Wash!te River, General, and them ain't helpless women and children waiting for you. They're Cheyenne brave, and Sioux. You go down there, General, if you've got the nerve.

General Custer: Still trying to outsmart me, aren't you, mule-skinner. You want me to think that you don't want me to go down there, but the subtle truth is you really *don't* want me to go down there.

And the rest is history.....

I read the article on britney spear's sister on CNN.com.  She was quoted as saying "My boyfriend and I were shocked!  Just shocked!"

I would be pretty shocked too if I was 16 and going to be a dad!  Yikes.

Way to go Vikings on getting 7 probowl selections!  I can't believe the NFC south didn't have anyone elected to the probowl.  The division includes  Atlanta, New Orleans, Carolina, and Tampa Bay.  TB is 9-5+division winner=0 picks.   MN+2nd in division=7 picks.  A little lopsided, but I do understand that the vikes have the best rushing game in the NFL and that led to 4 of 7 picks.

Hey, it's a free country - she can write anything she wants.

What IS disturbing is that I bet it will be a best-seller! :o

I happened to have the TV on to E! last evening and they interrupted Dr. 90210 with a breaking news update to report that Brittney's sister was pregnant, and we should go to E! online for more updates.  I then cried a little bit because our society had so much vested interest in knowing immediately that Brittney's sister was impregnated, and further scaring the living bejeezus out of a 16-year old girl who is already afflicted with having Brittney as her role-model older sister.

Then I wondered if they were in the bedroom videotaping the conception.
