I couldn't agree more.  It seems it gets worse and worse every year.

Will it be a double monkey stomp from NE?  I would almost go for a double monkey stomp out, but that may be too much.  Final score?  47 - 16 NE.  Monkey stomp and a half.  Game is over after NE score their third TD in the opening minutes of the second quarter, but really over at half with a score of 33 - 7 (NE miss an extra pt and kick two FG's.  As long as I'm predicting, I may as well get specific, no?).

What do you think Igor will wake up and think about this morning?  Um I thought they were supposed to be scared of us, and now Im planning a trip to Cabo and they are planning a trip to the Super Bowl.

For the sake of a good Super Bowl week, I hope some moron from the Giants spouts off about how the second time around things will be differnt.  Each time this has happened this season the Pats and have beat the team and embarassed the player in the game as well.

Lets hope they are calling Mercury Morris asking about the real estate prices on his block.  Now that guy is what you call a first rate idiot.

Exactly. The best part of the Patriots going undefeated is to shut up the 1972 Dolphins.

And, the only reason they went undefeated was a totally bogus roughing the passer call on Benchwarmer Bob Lurtsema in the game at the old Met.

Otherwise the Vikings would have won that game.

We didn't bring home any iron, 57.  :-\

The team played as well as we could though. Good games, great competition.

I thought about you every time I drove by the Leinenkugel Brewery.  ;D

OZ - Maybe for the first time ;), you could be wrong. I'm looking for a close game, with New England coming frm behind to win 31 - 27.

"Benchwarmer Bob" That's a real blast from the past.

BDB, I'm hurt that you didn't think of me when you went by the Leinenkugel brewery. I thought we were closer than that. Congrats on a fine Tourney. I happened to see a small part of a feature on a youth team from California (California Wave) who were trying to win a National Youth Tournament (under 16) from 2005 or 2006. They lost in the semis, but their coach seemed like the kind of coach who dwelt on the positives. They won it the next year. Good show if you happen to catch it. It was on CSTV on a Series called In The Crease.

I was just talking to him last August before a Vikings pre-season game at the Miller Lite Party Zone outside the dome.

I talked to him about that play. He nailed Griese on a 4th down pass play that went incomplete. The game was over without the bogus call.

I actually thought about 57 as a home boy and all the MIACPP crowd retagent, so you were included.  ;)

In The Crease is a good movie on youth hockey. I own it.

The only problem I have with it is the fact that it's about a hockey team from California.  :P

I'll just bask in the glow of that remark - that and the weather out here will keep me warm for a while. 8)  (Saturday was shirtsleeve weather - had to leave my jacket in the car.)

How is #2-son adapting to the slight chill?

Spoke to him last night; he didn't mention the weather.  The only time he has mentioned it was last year when he went to a friend's place on the lake to go ice fishing.  They decided it was too cold for ice fishing so they went back to the house but found the heat had not been turned on so it was nearly as cold inside as out.  He said it took four hours for the house to warm up moderately.  In the meantime they went outside for a snowball fight - to keep warm!  He has more trouble with the summer heat/humidity than with the cold it seems.
