Anyone watching Roger testify?  It's streaming live at cnn.com.
I saw the first 20 minutes.  Who is lying?

Everyone to some level or another. The loser of this whole ordeal is every single MLB fan who has been misled countless times over the past few years.

The only people in this whole trial I trust less than Brian McNamee are Roger Clemens and his face-lift-gone-wrong Lawyer.

It's a sad state of affairs when congressmen/women are the most trustworthy people in the room.

I know this is going out on a limb, but in a sea of doofuses, is Rep Dan Burton(R - Indiana) the King of The Doofi?

Dear retagent:

I believe the word is spelled Doofie.

Sincerely,

Dan Quayle (R-Indiana)
Thank you Mister Potatoe Head.

Yeah, I have figures in my head alright, but they're not numbers. Unless, of course, a 6 and a 9 are involved. 8)

Fins - I know that I can always count on you for a good laugh or two when catching up on the board. +k  Good luck this weekend in your battle for supremacy on Pearl lake.

From sportspickle.com:
Baseball Umpires Meet To Discuss War Spending, Health Care Reform
Major League Baseball umpires will gather between home plate and the pitcher's mound today to discuss many of the biggest issues affecting America, as Congressional panel spends it's time determining the level of steroids use in baseball.
"Hey, don't get us wrong," says umpire Hunter Wendelstedt. "We are huge baseball fans. We dedicated our careers to the sport. But that said, we kind of think there might be some bigger concerns facing American right now than whether or not Roger Clemens may have taken steroids. So while Congress is busy umpiring baseball, we're going to handle the rest of the country."
The umpires will discuss the Iraq War, health care reform, global warming, border security, energy independence, taxes, torture, Social Security, and the minimum wage.
"We don't want to bite of more than we can chew," says umpire Joe West. "But there are a lot of big issues out there that need to be addressed. We think those are a good start. If we can hammer out solutions to those, we'll turn to campaign finance reform, job outsourcing, the mortgage crisis and the strike zone."
Jeff Kellogg says he suspects his fellow umpires to come up with many good solutions.
"We're not all wishy washy like Congress," he says. "There is no gray area in baseball. It's either a ball or a strike. You are either safe or out. We'll either stay in Iraq or get out. Drill in Alaska or won't. We will move this country forward."
Rep. Henry Waxman, the chairman of the committee investigating steroids in baseball, said he welcomes the umpires' contributions solving the country's other problems.
"If they can keep focusing on that stuff, I'd really appreciate it," says Rep. Waxman. "That way, I can do more of this fun, sports work. You know who I'd like to call next? Pele. I always thought it would be cool to meet him and get his autograph. You know: 'Here. Sign this affidavit. Write it out to Henry.'"

As the resident medical expert, I feel it is my responsibility, neigh my duty to perform said inspection on both Mrs Clemens and the Clemens family's former nanny. Any doubts that a nanny for a millionaire pitcher's kids isn't hotter than hades?

Also glad to see Augsburg grads still causing trouble!

The average yard per penalty should tell you what type of calls were penalty.  Obviously as you move towards the end zones the stat gets a little skewed, but the information is nice.  I have to wonder what Gustavus was doing to average over 10 yards per penalty.  Anyways, these are some fun stats to see trends in the conference.

I do look forward to reading about Coach Don Hudson at Macalester.  It looks interesting.

Interesting information here, STO has 3rd least penalty yards!  I will go out on a limb and second that the redskins will lead the league in personal foul penalties next season.
