bennie,
How about those Avs? Only 16 skaters and Davy Jones comes out of the locker ;) admittedly against Atlanta which isn't saying much. Have no idea who they can put on the ice tonight against Edmonton.
Tough go when Gentleman Joe has to take shifts as a D.   >:(

They are going to have to have Granato lace them up! ;)  I will probably watch that game tonight. Either that or the Canucks/Yotes game just to cheer for another Canuck loss. Did anyone watch the Ducks school them last night? Two shorties against Luongo. He wasn't very wall-like last night!

Oh, and what is the deal with Gretzky's hair? I will have to switch over just to see that weirdness. He must miss his mullet! ;)

The only hockey I know is the Avs or the Rockies and Invaders of the WHL before that. The Invader games were fun - at the Coliseum with NO glass and you could lean over the rail to watch (hear and smell as well) up close at least until the rent-a-cops caught you. Of course DU had pro hockey then also  JOHNNIE hockey outside before that.  8)
I'll date myself but when I was a wee lad, Le Rocket & then Jean Beliveau were my guys.  :)

janesville.........3+k,s for that one.  If you lived in So. Cal, you would realize just how true your joke is.

Ah, the verbal equivalent of Paki-bashing - all in good fun.

I love the sound of skates on the ice. I also love the smell of the ice. But the smell of the players? Let's just say they won't be bottling that for aftershave anytime soon! ;)

One of my friends that use to play hockey in college told me about a teammate of his that was a goalie. Whenever he would bring home his pads, his cat would pee on the bag. I think that says it all about the smell! 8)

bennie - My son and I were just saying the same thing about how enlightening it was to hear "The Kid" scream. One of the few people who has anything mildly interesting, or amusing,  to say is Roenick. Otherwise, I'm with you on that all the way. Great minds think alike, I guess.

I bought a pair of gloves at an Admirals "garage" sale. They sell used equipment that's still useable for cheap. They were top of the line Rbk, worn by Chris Beech, I think. I febreezed them to a fare-thee-well, to little result. I just learned to live with it until it took on a little more of my more favorable BO. I'd like to think that anyway.

While I am not a big Bill Guerin fan, I did think this "Mic'ed Up" was funny.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=7Ta__rA2gZo

This clip doen't include Guerin saying how he thanked Frasier for celebrating with him.

Turo in last year's All Star game and Legace in this year's game were both pretty entertaining.

I want to hear what is being said in the scrums by the net or what is yelled between penalty boxes. Why don't they ever have that in the Mic'ed Up segment? ;)

I think the voice sounds to young for a mom and I think if you listen close a backround voice says its his girlfriend.  Any way it is really a good show of sportsmanship for hockey.  I just hope bennie's schooling prevents outbursts like that when she takes in a game.   ;D ;D ;D ;D

From Shooter today:

St. Olaf College had 40 applicants for its football coaching job, from whom two internal candidates and two outside candidates have emerged as finalists. School officials hope to hire a coach by the end of the month.

Here's a funny vid I just stumbled across: A reporter and anchor verbally brawl on live TV.

And for those interested, the two years on the can story was actually true.  The TV news report showing actual humans talking.
