OzJohnnie, I got a call from my "little girl" last night indicating she was going sky diving in Aussieland. Amazing what college students get to do on spring break these days. She is going to be in Sydney today and then heading back to Wollongong on Sunday. She is really enjoying the experience in Australia.

Geewiz.  Enough of defending the photographer already.  A person's opinion of Tiger Woods has no bearing on the fact that the photogs' contracts with the PGA state that they cannot irritate the golfers (Not the gophers, you idiot!  The golfers!) or do anything that disturbs them.  Pretty much the end of the discussion, no?
Almost the end.  Just to clarify, I'm not trying to excuse the photog's conduct, just understand it better.  And also think the consequences meted out should be short of corporal or capital punishment.  On the other hand it would be hilarious to see Tiger chase some guy around the course flailing his driver. :D

I think Monty and Fuzzy are now recurring characters on Sesame Street.

Tell your little girl that much like going on a date with TDT, skydiving is something she should tell daddy after it's already happening so daddy doesn't have to worry about it coming up and how it might go!
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

I love Monty, not.  Whenever I'm watching him on TV, I like to whisper little things to him like:  "Hit it in the water Monty", or "Watch out for that sand trap Monty", or "Don't hook it Monty"....anything to get his goat.  Surprising how often it works.  You should try it.

German fest at my favorite pub the next 4 days. Guess since it's Duffman's B-day, I better get started today.

Herr Flash wird feiern.

I'll bet that there are a couple of others that would benefit from that novel idea.

Mrs. 57 isn't counting on that happening to me.  ;D

The following is the 2007 winning entry from an annual contest at Texas  A&M
University calling for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term.

This year's term: Political Correctness.

"Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical
minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which
holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd
by the clean end."

After having  dug to a depth of 30 feet last year, New York  scientists found traces of copper wire dating back 100 years and came to  the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone network more than 100 years ago.

Not to be outdone by the New Yorkers, in the  weeks that followed, California scientists dug to a depth of 60 feet,  and shortly after, headlines in the LA Times newspaper read: "California archaeologists have  found traces of 200 year old copper wire and have concluded that their  ancestors already had an advanced high-tech communications network a  hundred years earlier than the New Yorkers."

One week later, the "Mining Journal", a local  newspaper in Hibbing Mn, reported the  following:

"After digging as deep as 90 feet in a rocky field  near Hibbing, Ole Oleson, a self-taught  archaeologist and Swedish logger, reported that he found absolutely nothing. Ole has  therefore concluded that 300 years ago, Minnesota had  already gone wireless."
