Ok.  Next attempt.  Type the url you want, like the one above, and then hit the preview button.  You are taken to the preview page.  In the editing window of the preview page, highlight the url.  Now click the img button, which is the second from the left on the bottom row with a picture frame icon (or 13th button from the right in the second row from the top, just in case Kubiak is following these directions from a secret location in the Black Hills).  That will put the image tags around your url and the result will be this:

Link to the Sidd Finch story for those who have never seen it  Simply too good to pass up.  http://vault.sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1119283/index.htm

I remember reading that story.  It was published right around the time of the classic swimsuit edition of SI, which made me, for a time, an avid and loyal SI reader.  The best of the best.  I give you Elle in all her original SI glory...

Thanks for the link - I hadn't read that in 23 years!

The most amazing thing about Sidd's talents: the Mets never could sign him, but the Tigers did (cutting Denny McLain and Mickey Lolich from the roster).  He pitched 162 perfect games, and nobody remembers it! ??? :o ::)

Well Boof made it 2-0 alright. 2-0 in favor of the Angels after 1/2 inning. Sandwiched around a couple of decent innings, he looked like he was throwing BP. I kept hoping Andy would run out there with a double-fudge milkshake for the anemic lad. Poor pitching, fielding errors, and feeble hitting doomed the Twins. Looks like they're destined to win only half of their games. And it wouldn't surprise me to see Punto playing SS tomorrow. A throwing error in the 5th, then in the 8th, down 7-1, on a sharp grounder up the middle, Everett took 2 steps and let up and watched the ball go to center. Later, with a runner on 1st, hitter hits a sharp one to 2B playing deep, flips to Everett for the force out but has to leap to avoid being taken out by the slide, but doesn't bother to throw to 1st. Now, both of those plays may not have resulted in outs, even with a sensational effort, but Everett must've forgotten what he learned in spring training about the "Twins way". After saying as much to a dubious Fins, Jr., Tolbert comes in to hit for Everett in the bottom of the inning and finishes the game at short.

Great to read about Sidd again...truly inspirational.

And this is going crazy viral.  What's happening to our country?  No respect for anything anymore.

(And, yes, I realize by posting this link I'm contributing.  Wha - eva!)

Edit: I just realized that clip was made by the Australian Government's ABC television (the Aussie PBS).  Ha.  I need not tell you the uproar that would be heard if the American PBS did the same thing to the Australian Labor Party leadership.

Flash is sitting in a bar when a beautiful woman walks up and whispers in his ear, "I'll do anything you want for 50 bucks."

He puts his drink down and starts going through his pockets. He pulls out a ten, two five's, a twenty and ten ones...

He thrusts the wadded up cash into the woman's hand and says, "Here...paint my house."

The Afterglow of our KofC meeting last night featured Avalanche Amber Ale and Fat Tire. I had never seen the Avalanche Amber Ale before but it was more popular than the Fat Tire. The Amber is either good stuff or the brothers have bad taste.   ;D

57, the Avalanche Amber sure looks like it's worth a try! I will vouch for the tastiness of the Fat Tire though!
