Try the pan fried walleye at Sunsets in Wayzata if you get a chance.  Other suggestions anyone?

I'd say the Tavern on Grand in St. Paul or in St. Cloud at Anton's (Fish & Whiskey). Wherever you go, avoid any fish "battered" or you'll get a fishy tasting cheese curd. Get it broiled, baked or breaded, and the fresher, the better.

I'd like to add Jensen's Supper Club in Eagan where they do a fantastic pan fried and herb crusted walleye.  In addition to the superb supper club atmosphere each table receives fresh popovers, a succulent bowl of house salad with mandarin oranges and an old school relish tray.

Summit Pale Ale is a suitable beverage to match with your order and highly recommended.

Wow....thanks for all the food and booze advise!  Sounds like I have to eat and drink my way through Minn.  Not knowing where any of these places are, I will be flying into Minneapolis, then to Collegville, over to St. Peter and back to Minneapolis.  Are they on the way?

RR do they serve honey butter with the pop-overs?  And do they have liver-pate and crackers on the relish tray?

Indeed, how could I overlook the buckets of honey butter served table side with those mouth watering popovers.... well stated 71.  As for the liver-pate, you'll have to ask BDB to deliver some from across the river.

You guys had me salivating until the liver-pate.  :D

Don't know if I can bring that over, but I'll be happy to bring some Leinenkugel's and fresh cheese curds.

Perfect for the Wild game tonight.

57- your squad is going down!  ;D

That sounds damn good - even the pate!

Hope to put the last trim pieces on the new gee-rodge bar, and sand and seal it prior to face-off tonight.  8)

You got me sold. I'm going there.

BTW if anyone's ever down around Redwood Falls way at the casino or playing Dakota Ridge, stop in at the Valley Supper Club in North Redwood (Birthplace of Sears).  My brother and sister in law Ron and Karen Ness own the place and they have popovers and a nice traditional supper club menu.  Plus their three kids work there.  True family affair.

Indeed... I believe the Persian metamorphosized several times and now sits dormant among the oaks south of St. Cloud.

So, Kilted Rat,   when you become Dr. KR, does that mean that we will have to wait 2 hours for every post and you will charge us $300 per visit to PP?   ;) :D ;D

Nah, more like you'll show up to read my post a half hour after you wanted it posted, tell me what you want posted and be mad if I post anything different than what you want and then your insurance company will tell me what percent of my fee for posting they actually want to pay and finally lawyers will be lurking to sue me for any post that doesn't end just right ;D
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

You may just want to stay in the Navy.  They should at least show up on time. :)

Aw, don't you just love the whining from these soon-to-be rich guys? :o

Today I showed up at 3:38 for a 3:45 appointment, and was seen from 4:43 to 4:56. ;)

Funny thing about the Navy, I could get a lot more working as a private contractor doc for the Navy than as a doc in the navy. Besides, I'll be a resident for at least 5 years which equals me being still poor!

The docs running late thing drives me nuts to no end. Believe you me, if you come to KR's clinic of free love, you will be seen at your scheduled time, just don't try to make me run late!
If you want to chit chat, but me a beer after hours ;D

Yes, the Persian.  My dad liked to take me there for dinner.  I had forgotten about that place.
