I still think the best Spam is the plain Spam sandwich.  Fry it up, spread some mayonnaise, only white bread.  Delicious.

Spam fried in butter, dipped in Ketchup with a side of Kraft Mac and Cheese and a cold Pffeifer (SP?) got me through college.

Or, if the Mac and Cheese was going for more than 3 for a buck, sub some instant mashed potatoes, cratered with a big pat of butter (or Oleo if an emergency) with Van Camp's Pork and Beans dumped on top of it.

Whenever we saw Luncheon Meat on the menu in the Navy we knew we were getting spam.  It used to come in a 4"x4" 2 foot long can.  KS used to love the omletes made on the sub from plastic eggs, spam and gummint cheese.
