Caps on VS tonight. Don't miss it!

Guys like Semin and Green have so much talent, when they learn to rein in their egos a bit, and don't try to beat a whole team every rush, they will be unstoppable. They make great plays, but still make mistakes, but are fun to watch.

They are a fun team to watch. Rock the Red, Baby!    8)

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Can't say that I can "Rock the Red" since I am a longtime Flyers Fan...however I did get to see the game last night from 9 rows over the Flyers bench.   I have to say that the Caps are an extremely fun team to watch...
After the first period they dominated the Flyers.  They were first to the puck, and generally won most of the battles in the corner.  They Flyers helped them by giving up the blue line consistently, and if it wasn't for Biron standing on his head early, the Caps could have easily won by 6....

I will say that Ovetchkin will get lit up sometime soon.  He has a habit of running someone late, then getting in their face and then slowly backpedaling until the linesmen intervene....I don't think he is as tough as everyone hypes him to be...(but he is extremely strong on his skates...)

Story from the Daily Planet on the SJU recruiting class.

Looks like some pretty good talent coming in. Must be fun recruiting at SJU reading the kids' comments.

I'd have to say it looks like SJU will not lose a game over the next 4 years. Remember, you read it here first.

A guy stuck his head into a barbershop and asked, "How long before I can get a haircut?"  The barber looked around the shop full of customers and said, "About two hours."  The guy left.

A few days later the same guy stuck his head in the door and asked, "How long before I can get a haircut?"  The barber looked around at the shop and said, "About three hours".   The guy left.

A week later the same guy stuck his head in the shop and again asked the same question.  The barber said, "about an hour and a half".  The guy left.

The barber turned to a friend and said, "Do me a favor.  Follow that guy and see where he goes.  He keeps asking how long he has to wait for a haircut, but then he never comes back".

A little while later the friend returned to the shop, laughing hysterically.

The barber asked, "So where does the guy go when he leaves"?

The friend smiled and answered, "Your house".

flash - Contrary to popular myth, the Mullet is NOT the official haircut of NHL Hockey. The Caps did have a mullet night this year and handed out hideous red "mullet" wigs.

bman - Sorry about your affliction. Both teams lately have a history of not coming through in the clutch. We'll see who overcomes. I've heard both teams are a bit banged up. Poti and Green were both dinged up last night. That may tell the story.

I'm fired up.  Sounds like a decent RB coming to town, another Weber... good things.

I think my favorite part of the article was fins on the spot in the comments section.

Thanks TC, I had to set the dude straight. Probably a 7th string QB's dad, thinking his kid should've started all 4 years.

Just getting a little head start on "the polish and the grandeur".

Anyone interested in a competive high school baseball game, keep next Wednesday, April 30, open. Eden Prairie will be coming to Athletic Park in Chaska to take on the Hawks. Game time is 7:00 p.m. To make the game even more special, we will be serving Stiftungsfest burgers. :D

From the SCTimes, coming to SJU:
"Harry Awe, a 5-foot-10, 190-pound running back who rushed for 1,767 yards and 23 touchdowns at Minnehaha Academy last fall..."

I was thinking, with a name like "Awe" this kid will be something, but his first name really makes him special.

Some time, some day, the Caps will be the beneficiary of a controversial call and be awarded a goal that they should not have gotten. Sooner or later the odds will demand it. As of now, I think they're down 206 - 0 in that stat.

Is anyone going to be hanging around the Spring practices this year?  Maybe get a look at how the QB's are shaping up?
