TC, how long have you been waiting to pounce on Fins?

Just had to wait for the son of a bitch to let his guard down.  That's what he gets for confusing my prescience with Charley Watlers' and TDT's stellar sleuthing!  Are there any two worse people to be confused with?

Actually, there was no snark intended in my comment.  I recognized the name and after I searched the info down it was easier to just quote it than re-type.  If anyone has anything else to add about the kid (do you drop 20 lbs. automatically when you switch from a I-A to a III program?) I'd love to hear it!

Fins, if you have a baseball topic you'd like to enlighten me on I'm all ears.  With a little effort, you might even be able to coax me into sharing my longwinded and uninformed views.

Truthfully, I've enjoyed our baseball discussions, always walking away enlightened. But, you have to admit, aren't you glad they re-signed Nathan and didn't trade him?
And Gardy's quote in today's paper about Gomez, like watching high school ball, not even college. Pretty funny. But I think it was Powers who called him the most exciting Twin since Kirby Puckett. I tend to agree.

While we waste away hours on trivial stuff here, it's good to know people somewhere are really working on important things.

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

I am hurt KR.  You didn't send a personal invite.   ;D  Only being 40 minutes from Des Moines I could have gone for a round today.  Hope all is shaping up for graduation for you.  Do you have a specialty picked out yet?  Can you specialize in the Navy?

I'm going to do a general surgery internship to start which will probably be followed up with 2-3 years of general medicine with a marine or navy unit. After that I will do residency. I'm leaning toward Otolaryngology (Ear Nose Throat) at this point, but Orthopaedics would be cool as well.

Yep, you can definitely specialize in the navy.

How's DF2004JR doing with the worst semester of all of med school? Wish him well for me when you talk to him.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

I don't think he has felt that way, but does not really say to much as he really loves this.  This is what he has wanted to do for ever since 5th grade.  I think he gets tired from all the studying though.  I will tell him hello for you when I talk to him next.

I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

...if you have a baseball topic...

For anyone, but it's something I'm really concerned with:

Is Liriano coming back?  Is he another Scott Baker (or whatever - went on to Baltimore? in '93 or so after being a star and crapping out just before the '91 WS.  Can't quite remember)?

It looks like the suckie Tommies are going to take the All-Sports trophy this year.  The J's are too far behind USTD in baseball and won't make up the points they need in track to pass Gustavus.  Looks like a third place finish.  Bummer.

Are "number of stories in the Strib related to conflicts within your core mission as a Catholic University" also counted towards winning the AllSports trophy? :D
