I think most scout team pay is 60 to 90k.

Not bad days pay for a pro punching bag  ;D

Anybody we know choose this as a recreational activity yesterday?

Not I.  Crappy weather and walleye are about my least favorite fish to fish for.  Not to mention about a billion things that needed to get done around here.  Might sneak out for some carp fishing later today, though.

TC

For the 18th straight year, I spent the Minnesota Walleye Opener at Eddy's on Mille Lacs.  We were on the water by about 5:45.  When we stopped back in for sammiches at about noon, Mike Max from WCCO was talking to boaters about their angling success.  He claims we were the 14th boat he talked to AND THE FIRST TO HAVE ANY FISH IN THE LIVEWELL.  At least the weather was... horrible.  (The TC clan (very) briefly made the evening news, evidence here, 1:05 to 1:10 shows our boat passing by the Eddy's launch followed by my brother acting like a retard asking a question (it was cold and wet and none of us really wanted anything to do with Mike Max or being on his TV show at that point (sorry about all the parentheses)).)

We caught about 20 walleyes all day, two of which were in the slot.  No one really caught anything.  The weather was typically horrendous.  Like Duff, walleye are about my least favorite fish to catch.  This will likely be the only day of the year I fish specifically for walleyes.  But it was nice to be back out!

Yep, just got home. One bass, a bunch of northerns, zero walleye. It may have been cold, but at least it was raining.

I have to see if my guide is busy.

If she is, I guess I'll go drinking.

As I watched the Twins almost blow that lead I couldn't help but think of your Adam Scott predictions and that tragic result.  Make sure you cheer for Bethel and Whitewater this year. ;)

I fished last week in 80 degrees, sun, used sun block of course and caught several calico bass, a few scourge of the sea mackeral and a small halibut, that, hit the bbq this weekend.  Very tasty with a cold Corona....I know what ratebeer or whatever the web site says about it, but ice cold while bbq'ing it really tastes great.

Ice cold water tastes great on a hot day.  Oh, wait, I guess that's what you said.

Back from 2 incredible days in Ponte Vedra at the TPC.

First, BlueDevil Bob may or may not have creamed his pants had he been strolling behind the 16th/17th tee as a guest of TDT as when he ran into none other than Danica Patrick early Saturday morning.  She had sunglasses on and was walking incognito (i.e. nobody recognized her as Indy Car Racing and PGA Golf typically don't draw the same fans) with her parents I believe.  Of course, TDT would have taken a picture with her for all my pals to idolize on the MIAC PP but alas cameras/cell phones aren't allowed inside the course.

We perched our chairs on the hill by 17 and reveled in the party atmosphere.  It was pretty fun fellas.  If you ever get the chance to attend you won't regret it.  The sundresses, tan bods, and boob jobs are a sight to behold when it is 90+ and sunny.  I really can't describe how much of a good time it is unless you go.  Even if you hated golf (cough Duffman cough)...

Got a chance to watch all the big groups tee off yesterday afternoons at #1 and then followed Adam Scott/Furyk a little bit along with Mickelson for the first 5 holes.  Ran into Heisman trophy winner Tim Tebow Gators QB near the World's Greatest Stadium Amphitheater at 17 yesterday as well.  Really wanted Goydos the gigantic underdog to win but it wasn't to be.  Pretty exciting to be sitting on the hill at 17 waiting for the playoff to begin and having people lead cheers for Sergio or Paul like at a football game.  Reminded me a lot of the 16th at the FBR in Scottsdale each February.

Forgot to mention.  Seems like the Executive Committee for the CAC (Mayor, Chairman, President, Secretary, Treasurer, and other distinguished guests) may want to strongly consider reconvening for their Annual Meeting at the 17th at Sawgrass next May.  VEEK: Make it happen you old dog (weiner doggie for the record) you.

The gal gets around apparently. She just qualified 5th at Indy on Saturday, which puts her middle of the second row.
