Good message KS.

Looks like the midnight smitemeister has been busy again. For the record, I'm in favor of fishing on lakes and oceans. I like Red Stripe, especially in Jamaica. I like Negro Modelo, especially in Mexico. I like Hamm's, especially. I like girls. And I like sports, including, but not limited to, football, baseball, hockey and golf.

I got hammered on the Karma last night, and then after posting the above message.
+K to the page.
Including pictures of girls in bikini's with your posts seems to help in the karma area. ;)
Conversely, a gay joke directed at a fellow poster, followed up by a weak-ass apology and excuse will get you some mega-nega-karma. :'(

First up:

You're trapped in a room with an angry grizzly bear, a hungry lion, and a fan of USTD. You have a gun with two bullets. What should you do?

Shoot the Tommie... twice.

And number two:

Why are the Tommies like a possum?

Because they play dead at home and get killed on the road.

Thank you, thank you.  I'll be in the Cabana Lounge all week.  Bring your girlfriends.

After weeks of soul-searching on how to use my check to help stimulate the economy, I've finally decided to buy a LCD HD TV (or at least put down a major down payment).  Any recommendations on brand and model in the 40-46 inch range?

Gotta go; the mailman was just here.  Maybe the check arrived today.

Nope; just the normal summons and collection letters.

How to use my check to stimulate the economy...?  What's that?  You wonder how I'm getting a check.  Ha! Suckers.  No gov't giveaway is complete without a pander to every last voter, no matter how far away.

You probably know this already, but you can follow the live scores of the DIII golf championship over at GolfStat.  It's 12:00am and I should be in bed, but the Johnny's have pulled into third.  It's just so damn addictive, this interwebs.

Shoulda - My son who does a lot of research on things technical, recommended to me the Samsung brand. I got a 46" LCD for around 1700. He also recently purchased a 46" Samsung using his re-enlistment bonus. He put his money where his mouth is. It all depends on how much you want to spend. He is also complemetary of Sony as a brand, but they're normally a bit more expensive. Take all this for what it's worth.

Shoulda-
I have a 42 Sony and a 40 Samsung. Both are nice, with a slight edge to the Sony. Look for a good deal these days and there are a lot of websites with good info re: particular brands. Go to Best Buy and Circuit City to see side-by-side comparisons. Nothing like watching HD sports on the big screen.
BTW- I didn't interpret thespoof link to be a "gay joke" nor did it seem "directed at a fellow poster". It was simply a well written piece of satire that was topical. Snoop gets it.
+K to all, as is customary.

Just to belabor a dead point...the supposed joke part would be responding to Snoop's reference to his last fishing trip being with a bunch of bikini babes by claiming his last trip was actually a gay fishing tournament.  Good thing I don't need to make a living by writing (or talking for that matter).

Thanks for the recommendations.  My dad has a Samsung LN T4071F and he usually knows what he is buying.  I once owned a Toshiba HD tuber and it was excellent, but don't know if they're as good in LCD.

Dos Equis amber is very good, if you lke it, try Modelo Negro.

BTW, snoop, the beverage you are referring to is Negra Modelo.

A Modelo Negro would be a black model, and while nice, I don't think you could drink one.  Even if you were really thirsty.

BDB

Been running on no sleep for 3 days as both my 8 and 9 year old kids have had a major flu virus. Nothing like cleaning up puke and diahrea (sp) out of a couple beds and a white carpet.  :P

Kids have really had it bad. Missing day 3 of school.  :-\

But yet, BDB goes out and coaches baseball w/o son of BDB there.  :'(

Where is SJU?

The interesting thing for me is how all the mapping programs (including the ironically named Hertz "Never Lost") locate Collegeville on the side of I-94 opposite from SJU, on the Old Collegeville Road.  It's a nice way to find the footbridge over the freeway but if there is one place in the area that Collegeville would not be, I think that's it.

BDB

BDB in action the past 3 days cleaning up various bodily fluids.

Oz...what makes you think I was referring to beer? ;)

Shoulda....I have a 56 inch Mitsubishi(SP?) DLP....... I think it beats the LCD's ..just my opinion.
