Shouldabeen, what were you doing meeting a young marine chick at a resort? You old dog you.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Looks like a 4th place finish for SJU in golf. 4 bogeys on 18 and 3 bogeys on 17.

Thanks Oz, for the link.

Don't lose heart yet, Fins, - one more day to go.  But they sure didn't make much of a clubhouse run, though, did they?

I didn't realize they went 4 rounds. Yeah, big fade late. Now 8 strokes to make up tomorrow...verrry difficult.

Well, there's one more round and a blazing finish with a couple slips from the others might make some room, but they'll need some fantastic luck.

Doh! I now see you already know all this.

It wouldn't be MIAC PP if we didn't tie all of this GPS talk back to fishing...

The first thing that comes to mind with GPS and fishing is my old man's paranoia.  Won't get the GPS; a depth finder is good enough.  You never know what rat-bastard will be stealing your stuff just to steal your 'secret' spots.

Oz....rat-bastard was a term that my dad used to use constantly.  I am going to have to do some research on the origin of the phrase. ;)

You may have seen the news on Rajkowski's blog, but I'll post it here as well anyway.

Mike Guentzel, whom we have all pretty much agreed presented himself as a preening wanker in the press, took himself out of the running for the job.  We'll let him sell that line...

Instead, SJU has appointed Doug Schueller, a modest sounding guy with some achievement to his name.  Reads like a good fit for SJU.

Let's hope to see more big things from Johnny hockey.

Oz,

I am with you, Dusty and the others this week that came to the consensus that the clown candidate from the U of M fit in at SJU about as well as a drunk Irish hip-hop dance professor would at Bethel.  I wish Schueller all the best building on the wonderful hockey program built by John Harrington over the last 15 years.  John is a true class act and it would have been a shame to bring a bozo into follow him.  The article would have been a much better read if Frank had excluded the bull$h1t commentary from the runner-up.  Guentzel would have been better suited to have said nothing.....bottom line; he was not offered the job and will not be SJU Hockey Coach :) :)

Looks like a d*mn good hire for SJU.  Do they play the game in Oz-land, Oz?  I suppose if the could play in tank tops and short shorts -- come to think of it, maybe that could be something.

Hi All, been gone for awhile after my surgery and still trying to get used to typing lefthanded.  Retirement was finally approved and will be done with the army next week (knock on wood).  Was in Rochester visiting the GF while convalescing and had the opportunity to have some Flat Tire at Binkeys (sp?), pretty damn good I would have to say, also some Mexican Lager on Cinqo de Mayo but can't remember the name of it.  All that being said, this was in uncle sids saturday column, was wondering what spot Hoag held in this  :) :
Ryan Hoag, the former Minneapolis Washburn, Gustavus Adolphus and Vikings wide receiver, didn't see any action with San Jose of the Arena Football League after signing. Hoag will appear on ABC's "The Bachelorette" this summer.

Maybe I'll be  back in Rochester this fall, if so looking forward to some tailgating in Collegeville.
Everyday is payday in paradise.
