Where is SJU?

The interesting thing for me is how all the mapping programs (including the ironically named Hertz "Never Lost") locate Collegeville on the side of I-94 opposite from SJU, on the Old Collegeville Road.  It's a nice way to find the footbridge over the freeway but if there is one place in the area that Collegeville would not be, I think that's it.
As I understand it, back in the good ol' days, (pre-automobile) that's where the Collegeville train station was. Folks arriving by train would get off at Collegeville and
walk or horse ride it to St. John's. So the really old computers must still have it that way.
You are correct Fins.  Used to drive down there while I was in school.  Can't remember if there was much for buildings 40 years ago.  We should check with '57.  He probably took the train to school back then.
Sorry but I can't help you. I lived about 180 miles from SJU and routinely hitchhiked back and forth. Kept my green beanie for all 4 years since the folks back then took pity on the lowly Frosh.  ;D
5'dy 7....I lived about 100 miles south of SJU and used to hitchhike back and forth all the time too.  I wonder when you couldn't safely do that anymore?

One time another Johnnie from my home town & I were hiking and got picked up by a fellow who tried to hit on us for about 50 miles. When that didn't work he let us out (in the middle of nowhere) and we soon got picked up by a middle aged couple. The first thing out of the lady's mouth was 'Are you boys Christian?'
::)
Even back then we always hitchhiked in pairs  :P

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

It was a really tough choice last night between watching 20 douchebags try to out-douche each other with a bachelorette and watching House, imagining KR as House, trying to fix BDB's plumbing.

But in the end, it was hard to match the Twins for entertainment. Just when you think you've seen everything, you see it all in one game.

High sticking, tripping, slashing, spearing, charging, hooking, fighting, unsportsmanlike conduct, interference, roughing... everything else is just figure skating.  ~Author Unknown

It's all very disturbing. :-[  Who do you like in the finals Bennie?

I wouldn't cheer for the Red Wings under any other circumstances, but I have to go with the Western Conference team. 8)

We Wings fans will take support any way we can get it! ;)

With Crosby, Malkin, Fleury, et. al., the Pens may have the makings of an Oilers-type dynasty, but their time is not yet.  Sid the Kid meet MISTER Lidstrom! ;D

Wings in six (less, if Franzen gets healthy and retains his magic).

I am more interested in young Mr. Fleury meeting Mr. Holmstrom! Marc-Andre always seems kind of whiney so I can't imagine that having Tomas's a$$ parked in his crease will make him very happy! ;)

Good point!  By a quirk of the schedule (which I despise), the Wings and Penguins have not met a single time all year - lousy for the regular season, but makes for an intriguing Cup. :-\
