Tomorrow, May 24,  is the day Kilted Rat becomes Dr. Kilted Rat.  Not quite Dr. Kildare, but it will do.

Congratulations Dr. KR 8) :)

Perhaps Dr. KR can advertise on www.JohnnieFootball.com as we all know those Navy Dr.'s only work 8 hours per day. This will allow him plenty of time to set up a general practice in the greater San Diego area. KR do you want to see a rate sheet and our demographics that we pull from SoCal? It's right in your wheelhouse ;)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

The right elbow tuck seems adequate, but that's about all she/he's doing well. Like snoop said, get the wrists cocked, and shift that weight.

Don't you mean 8 hours per week.  After all they need to hit the cheap government golf courses.

Ehhhh....

With the new 80-hour work week limitations on residency programs, he should be able to get in 36 holes a week!   :D

I was going to follow with a picture of impetigo.  I didn't.  You're welcome.

For the non-squeemish, do a google image search.  Yikes.

I had a quick peek.  Not pretty.  This bit from Wikipedia struck me:

Good hygiene practices, such as regular hand washing, can help prevent impetigo. Have kids use soap and water to clean their skin and be sure they take baths or showers regularly.

Hmm...  Seems prevention for the non-contact sportsman largely involves...using soap and regular bathing?  Must be big issues with impetigo in England and France.

And Iowa wrestlers? :D

Impetigo looks like a bad zit on steroids, nothing a little bacitracin and oral penicillin can't cure!

Saying "regular bathing and using soap" prevent impetigo is a lot like saying salting the roads and good tires prevents accidents in winter. It stops a lot fo problems, but not all of them!

Thanks, about 12 hours to go until it is official, crazy stuff!

Sorry for the recent hiatus, seems there's a lot of paperwork and drinking to be done the week before graduation!

I'd like to personally thank and congratulate all the D3 posters of the past 8 years, without this site therer were numerous times I would have gone clinically insane in class or just plain fallen asleep without the wit and support of youse guys on here!

I want all to know that tomorrow when I am officially declared Dr. KR, I will have certain shirt on under my cap and gown which reads: "TOMMIES SUCK!"

Thanks for all the support and I'll be on here as much in the coming months as internship allows!

Ralph,
God willing! Actually the American College of Surgeons suggested going to 60 hour week and 6 year surgical residencies at their last meetings. Seeems the 80 hour weeks didn't improve patient survival or outcomes but less residents died in car crashes :-\

+K to all within reach now and as a legally prescribing physician tomorrow!!!!!
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

KR- It's officially "the day". Congrats to you and Mrs. KR as you both start your lives in your new fields. I'm sure you both will enjoy great success.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

CONGRATULATIONS DR. KR!!!!
I know you will be a great doctor!  Party your brains out this weekend. You deserve it.  Now when you pop that aspirin the next morning after a Level 5 hangover, it has been prescribe to you by a legally prescribing physician!   ;)  Only wish I could be there to buy you a Hamm's!

Congrats to KR, and I know you will do well, as well as do good. Don't they give you a higher rank than Ensign when you go in as a doctor? They must give some incentive for foregoing the big bucks to serve your country.
