In looking at GF's profile, it says she is a he.  Or, is it, he is a he.  Or, is GF a he-she?  We have a lot of that on Hollywood Blvd. ;)  C'mon GF, let us know the truth.

Not who I was referring to. There was another smite later, I guess.

Olaf and Carleton, if memory serves.

On my way to Ensenada Mx. tomorrow, I'll check for broken down vehicles on the highway to make sure one isn't Duff.

And, yes, driving on the ice would have to be considered "normal" although many normal folks will refuse to do it.

The first time the lovely Mrs. Oz (at that point Ms. Ozette, I guess) visited Grand Rapids up Nord on Da Range it was Christmas in '90.  As I reached the north end of town on my way out to my folk's place, I pulled out on to Crystal Lake and stopped the car.  She wanted to know why we stopped the car in a middle of a 'paddock' and were just standing around.  It was mildly humorous for a Minnesota boy to see her knees go wobbly when she found we were standing next to a truck on the middle of a lake.

To her credit (and she deserves credit for many things), she adopted a 'when in Rome' attitude and never thought twice about being driven on lakes again.  Although I must say that when given the advice about when snowmobiling on spring fed lakes to just 'gun it' if you find yourself starting to break though a bit too far to take.  She avoided most sledding which is a shame - it's the winter activity I miss most being in the land of sun and surf.

Dutchfan1 is the only non-Bennie female that I see on this board from time to time.

Do we have a "clue" on who the mad smiter could be? retagent, this sounds like a job for you.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Well, PC obviously knows from the forum's posting logs (ref his knowledge of a smiter's identity below), but I recommend he keep that knowledge to himself.  Particularly for something as inconsequential as karma.  Keep the overlord power for regulating content.  Of course, what does my recommendation really matter?  I'm just a speck-o-dust in the wind, really.

The gas prices aren't bothering me too much yet.

That vehicle must burn regular gasoline as there is most certainly a need for an extra big intake nozzle...

I know we have some big girls in Minnesota, but I want to meet that "wench" that brings up the cars from the lake bottoms.

Since the question may not have been answered completely to a non-northerner's satisfaction - What many people in Minnesota, and other states that get cold enough to have lakes and rivers freeze, do is drive their cars out to their ice houses on the lake/river. The houses are set up to shelter said people from the elements while they are ice fishing/drinking. Some don't quite understand that when the temperature goes up, the ice has a tendency to melt, and thus is not capable of holding up the weight of a car. Ergo, car sinks after the ice gives way.

I just got my friend a birthday card that had a cartoon drawing of Britney Spears and Paris on the front. It said "Our friendship has two things that Britney and Paris don't have...brains and underpants!" 8)

Glad to see that ST Ben's taught you well on two counts! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Fellow D3 posters:

DUFF IS BACK!!!

The wedding went great.  The honeymoon was awesome aside from a 3 hour delay at O'Hare on our way home.

Our "banquet manager" thought we might finish 2 kegs at the reception.  We finished 4 by the end of the night  ;D

Hope all is well here.  I don't have time to go back and read the past 2 weeks of posts, but +k to the usual suspects.
