ALERT  Minnesota people prepare to start feeling smarter around 9AM Friday, as Grandma Flash should be crossing the state line about then. BDB, you should be feeling pretty dumb by around 10:30. retagent, you and I will be back at full dumb by 4PM.

Flash, I feel pretty dumb at various times during the day. But thanks for the warning.

Also, if you want to tour the Leinenkugels Brewery on Saturday with finsleft and me and then go to the 38 Special concert, give me a ring asap.  You can crash here.;)

Must report that it was a pleasant surprise come across Leinies during my first beer tour of Nationals Park here in DC this week. Not surprisingly,  no Hamms, but two varieties from Chippewa Falls on tap -- Sunset Wheat and something called Home Run Ale.

Pretty good selection in a nice, comfortable modern-style park. Yuengling bottle or draft, Pete's Wicked bottles. Blue Moon tap. Plenty of imports. Yuengling is a "high-end draft" even when it's often low-end to buy in store.

A 97-degree night aided the testing. Two bad teams -- Giants and Nats -- kept the onfield distractions to a minimum ....

Will Jim Peterik be with .38 special? I know he still does shows with Ides of March. Prolific and talented guy. Also wrote Eye of the Tiger.

An Al Bundy reference from Oz man. Just as I have a program on Ted Bundy playing in the background.

There was a reference to, and a picture of, a bottle of Fat Tire in my latest copy of the magazine from my Time Share exchange network.

Unfortunately, the wife caught the only fish of the trip.  I'll get that photo up later.

And for the sake of your young marriage, let's keep that the only pic from the honeymoon you post :o

Anti-depressant or not, there is no benefit to the kids and socially and psychologically it can be very detrimental to them. There is no scientifically proven benefit to breast feeding beyond age 12 months. There have been psychological studies showing negative effects to breast feeding beyond age 2.

Rule of thumb, if the kid is old enough to point to them, let alone ask for it they're too old to be breast feed. No kid should be able to remember breast feeding.

MKS breast fed the Stalkerette until 15 months and then pumped until about 18-19 months.  That is why I commented had she ever heard of a pump.

Of course in some cultures children are breast fed for 4 or 5 years, but that is because there is nothing else for them to eat most of the time.

When there's no other food, that's a different matter, but based on the size of the woman and taking into account breast feeding uses 500 calories daily, there is no food shortage at her house!

I think all posters will be warmed in the heart to know that I had several photos from pre-game festivities in the slideshow at our reception.  Janesville Flash was even in one of the pictures ;D

Good people, except for TDT!  ;D

Did you stick any video from any trap plays in the slideshow?

Ladies and Gentlemen, the 1-trick pony rides again!

Small World Alert!!!

While driving home from a buddy's place the other day, I had MrsKR pull over so I could look at a beer sign by the highway. I had looked at enough beers that evening, hence her driving, but this sign was different from most beer signs in my neck of the woods, for starters, it was in English!

Even better, it was advertising this tasty little brew from Stearns County!:

New mission, find and obtain Cold Spring Brewery for the cookout this weekend.

We're breaking in my first big time purchase:

Would ya believe I got this moved up the purchase list ahead of furniture???
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

FYI It's come to my attention that most of us will live somewhere around 3500 weeks. Obviously some of us more, and some less. I have already lived 3200 weeks. That leaves about 300 weeks to go. That's 300 weekends. I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to give it hell, starting this weekend.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

retagent, do I actually read this correctly? Time Share exchange network?  :D

I mean, I barely have any time period. Let alone being part of an exchange network.  :P

Let alone, read a magazine about it.  :D WTF retagent?

I have my passport all ready for my trip across the eastern border today. Hope all the agents are in a good mood and don't insist on any searches. (Unless there's a good looking one who wants to frisk me.)

KR- Nice work on spotting the Cold Spring on North Mexico!

BDB:
The day before I met you last fall was the last time I was in Chip. Sad to say - Pretzel's Tavern, which was the last place in Chip. to have the city's famous 'hot beef' sandwich went out of business.  :(
If you go to the Lodge first, you probably won't worry about food.
BTW: You won't be getting any Hamms there.  :P

Flash, I just heard on the TV that laughter can add 8 years to your life.  There's 416 more weekends for you, so you can pace yourself a bit. 8)

Dammit on Pretzel's going down. Any other ideas for hometown 57 food?

A little girl asked her father, 'How did the human race appear?'

The father answered, 'God made Adam and Eve and they had children and so was all mankind made.'

Two days later the girl asked her mother the same question.

The mother answered, 'Many years ago there were monkeys from which the human race evolved.'

The confused girl returned to her father and said, 'Dad how is it possible that you told me the human race was created by God, and Mom said they developed from monkeys?'

The father answered, 'Well, dear, it is very simple. I told you about my side of the family and your mother told you about hers.'
