Oh, and if you're interested in visiting Kauai, do it soon - before it looks like Orange County.  Princeville?  Pfffftt. :P

Tmert, Mrs. Sum and I have been to Kauai twice 2000 and again in 05. We like the North end of the island a lot better than the South end! I thought the Princeville (Prince) golf course was a bit overrated! I take it that end of the island is getting overbuilt as well?
I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run

So I golfed The Jewel yesterday.  Good, course, way overpriced.  95 bucks for 18 and a cart.

So frank, about a buck a swing then?  ???    ::)
There is a good discussion about Tiger Woods on the National board in the baseball section.

Close, but I got my money's worth yesterday in my worst round ever...I shot 120, lost 15 balls, threw out approximately 50 f bombs, 2 miller lites, 1 mike's cranberry.  Every part of my game that I had worked and improved on this season fell apart.  On a positive note, the three cheese 1/2 pound burger with bacon was delicious and not bad at $10.95

Man, I can't remember the last time I shot 120 because I stop counting long before that.

That's about 14 calories per shot, 18 if you had the fries.

OxyBob

Definitely went with the fries.

I got my sign up sheet for the 18th Annual Gustavus Football Alumni Golf Tourney in August.  This was the place of my single greatest round of golf...18 beers in 18 holes.

I found this post on the Iowa board and thought it was worth a copy here.

Getting older isn't bad but at 32 I'm afraid that I'm starting to lose my marbles a little.  The other day I'm about 20 minutes into my morning commute and I look down at my passenger seat to grab my phone.  Much to my disgust I see that I unknowingly decided to take my TV remote control to work with me as well.

I snapped the photo below to document the beginning of the long decline of my mental health.

Well, I liked the north end least of all but I wasn't golfing.  Princeville could be anywhere and in my view had nothing to distinguish it, and they're building more of the same.  We were south, in Poipu Beach, almost right on the water, about a half mile from the Sheraton but in a residential area (in a house that had been turned into 3 units).  Old Koloa, just north of us, is a nice area.  But there's even more buidling down south than in Princeville, so pretty soon north and south will look much the same in that respect, and the quiet traffic free roads down there will not be so traffic free.  The west is still free of development from what I saw, which must be intentional on the government's part since it is very nice and close to some of the better non-golfing attractions.

One thing I noticed on Hawaii - no one riding a bicycle.  I could have missed someone riding a bike on Oahu as I wasn't really looking for it (though I still don't remember seeing anyone riding), but by the time we got to Kauai I was looking for it and I didn't see a soul biking.  Roads are too narrow I think.

In the effort to turn every injury, real or perceived, into a winning lottery ticket, this society keeps seeking - and finding - new lows.

Hey......I've made some good money off of defective thong cases. ;)

The weirdest thing happened to my pc today, I could open d3football, post patterns and any other board other than the MIAC.

The Princeville course is great, extremely scenic. On the other side of the island there are two Jack the Bear courses that are pretty challenging that anyone there should play.

Did anyone ever notice that when the workday is over the board participation drops significantly?

I remember once hearing that you know you are getting old when your car has more doors than forward gears. Two doors here, baby! ;) ;D

I hate mini vans.  I hate the moms who drive them with a million kids in the car that they cant control, driving with their pet poodle in their lap while on their cell phone and putting on their eye makeup.  I have to rent one when we take our Hawaii vacation to fit all five of us and our stuff and my golf clubs, and I hate having to drive one.  It has waaaaay to many doors and not enough forward gears. If I had to drive one every day, I would have to put some chrome dubs on it and get me one of them seats with the coolers in it to carry cold beer.

While in Ensenada I tried Dos Equis lager, really liked it, you guys should try it.
