Oh darn,  you are right again, my electric bill isn't really in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, it only feels like it.  Only you would take it literally and waste your time to prove the statement wrong.  Then again, I should have known you would, it seems that you have nothing else to do. Ever find the walleye yet?

Give me a break.

Let's all pull out our Constitutions and read just what function the Federal Government is expected to fill. What a government chooses to provide, it can choose not to provide. And remember, it is easy to be generous with other peoples' money.

On a lighter note, or maybe not - I happened to notice that three ex Twins were starting tonight.

                                                      W  L
                                 J. Santana         8     2
                                 K. Lohse            7     3
                                 M. Garza            5     3

A combined 20 - 8, for those of you who are math challenged.

As a St. Louis Cardinal fan, I must tell you Lohse is 9-2 after tonites game.

Garza lost last night.  You must have jinxed him!   :(

It would be interesting to see what would happen if we could designate our individual tax money to only go to uses that we approve of.  Hey, them special interest lobbiests would start calling us rather than our elected representatives.  We would have to get our telephone number on a "no lobby" list.

No matter where you live, it's always best to build on the highest ground around.
:'( :(
Oops, spoke too soon....

Seriously, this is getting really bad and really sad.  I wish a speedy to recovery to everyone affected by this spring's floods.  And, I guess this proves once and for all the pigs can't fly.

I here the Johnnies are getting new uniforms this year.

I think they airbrushed the helmets.

The thing I like best about this board is that all of us (I'm pretty sure anyway) would have to spend at least two days drinking to get an idea this stupid:

The Palm Frond Bandit.

It doesn't get any better than the following starring beer and "the Fox."

I started going to The Fox Inn when I discovered it in 1964.  It was great fun. ;D
One of his drinking songs used the Oi Oi Oi theme just before he chugged one down. :o

I miss watching the Fox and The Man show. God bless the Fox and may he rest in peace.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

I should have guessed that I can't count on the accuracy of ESPN (where I got the stats on the ex Twin pitching corps), They had Stuart Cink "winning" the Travelers Championship that night  (Friday) too.

I am also a fan of The Fox.  One of my favorite of his routines was about the African Tribe, The Fuc&owies.  According to the Fox, they were a pigme(sp) tribe in Africa that hunted in the very tall grassy plains.  When Europeans went looking for them, they would  say, "where the Fu#kowie?"  Then he would stand on his head and chug a beer in a second or two.  My hero.  I tried to do it with a glass of water and almost choked to death.

My favorite was his rendition of the following, sung to the Colonel Bogie March from The Bridge On The River Kwai.

Hitler has only got one ball,
Göring has two but they are small,
    Himmler is somewhat sim'lar,
But poor old Goebbels has no balls at all.
