I've played with FrankRickard before.  He isn't good.  Just an FYI for the peanut gallery!

BTW: I'll place a call shortly for KR.  He musta got TANKED last night to have not made a late night (West Coast) drunken post discussing one the virtues of Mr. Guy Bellair and two his undying love for Mr. Joe Mauer.

I know you guys are going to find this hard to believe, but yes I was on the golf course yesterday afternoon! No, It wasn't with OJ, but we did get juiced afterwards!

I met Tiger twice while he was filming a couple of his commercials at the golf club I belong to.  A golf buddy of mine produces the commercials. The commercial where he tackles the guy taking his clubs was Tigers idea.  He was just supposed to chase him, and, he actually tackled the guy himself, no stunt guys.   He is as down to earth as can be and as nice a guy as can be in real life.  I saw him take a half an hour to talk to a young kid at lunch.  And after seeing him up close, he could break the photographers &^%$(*&^%#@ neck if he wanted to.

I can undersand a non golfers point of view about the simple clicking of a camera and how it should not bother him, but id does, so why do it? I liked the fact that he stood by his comment rather than getting all politically correct and apologetic.

Have you ever played with O.J.?  Did he hide the knife in his golf bag when he flew to Chicago?

retagent.......nice birdie.  No offense intended but  the difference is, you wern't playing to win the freakin' U.S. Open.  I have played that course several times.  Despite the lack of length, that hole is no gimmie birdie, especially under U.S. Open conditions, i.e., the rough. The pressure and Rocco's lack of length might have had something to do with it.  He played within himself all week, no reason to change.  I guess he felt, make them beat me (and Tiger did).  I play to a 5 to 8 handicap and that is a really tough hole to birdie if you dont hit the fairway.  Tigers birdie on Sunday was, Tigeresq!

Did you have to give O.J. any strokes?  Who bought the "juice" on the 19th hole?

Again, I didn't have lunch with Tiger, I observed him take the time at lunch talk to the young lad and the lads father.

What's with playing on a Monday? Is this a Chamber of Commerce outing?     

I seriously would make it up there with you guys on a different day/week. That's a payroll Monday for me and son of BDB has a week long summer hockey camp at UWEC that week.

Push it back a week and a half and I'm there playing the short grass. Otherwise, have a great time and I'll call TDT in the middle of his back swing.

Golf, schmolf! There is something much more exciting starting tomorrow! The US Track and Field Olympic trials!! And to think that it is all happening a block from where I work. I have tickets for this coming Monday because my friend knows two of the athletes, but I might just have to head over there on other days and hang out in the Sports Bar they have set up right outside of Hayward Field. The great outdoors, alcohol and sporting events! Does it get any better?

Hey snoop. I actually played out a hole last week and got a 12 on a par 5. I can only enter as high as a 7, but I wanted to see if I could outdo Phil. Don't remember last time I was in double digits.

If anyone goes to the Womens' Open tomorrow, look for May Wood.  I don't know if she qualified, but if she did, she's worth watching. Also another who I know did qualify and is a sweet cute gal is Whitney Wade. I went 18 with her a month ago. I can outdrive her consistenly, but from there on, she's tough. May have too hard a time with the length though. Another is Molly Fankhouser. She's not on our team (not that there's anything wrong with that) but she is one of the best grinders I've ever seen. An Open type course may fit her game.

Sorry! Should have looked first, but Whitney Wade, who was the only one of the above I was sure of, is playing this week. She shot a 77. But Song Hee Kim, who was the winner of our inaugural Duramed Futures Tour tournament we host here at Geneva National three years ago, is in third place. She was 17 at that time, so she's either 19, or just turned 20.
