Anyone see the video on ESPN of Danica Patrick getting into it with a fellow female race driver on Saturday? Where is BDB when we need him? :o

Danica's going to get her ass handed to her one of these days if she keeps invading other team's pit stalls.  :P

If a mother and father each have a sex change, who's the mother and who's the father now?

Are you quizzing us on our knowledge of recent decisions by the Oz high court?  Seems like an only in Oz-land question to me, Oz. 8)

I just thought it was a nonsensical question that Ritz could ponder as he tried to sleep.  You intrigued me enough to do a google search, however, and I find that this question has not been addressed in Oz but in Japan:

Diet set to let parents change sex on registry.

No question is too obscure.

Japan, Japan ... isn't that like a suburb of Australia? 8)

Now for something completely different...

My ol' man sent me a link to a site with heaps of photos from the eastern front, mostly WWII but some WWI as well.  Many interesting (and tragic) things.

I came across this one of a moose with Nazi planes bombing in the background and it caught my eye.

EDIT: The description on the photo says moose, but obviously that isn't.  It looks like an elk or reindeer to me.  Any big game hunters know what it is for sure?

Paging Dr. KR, paging Dr. KR ...

Your patient wants that temporary tatoo removed ...

Saw that one, not a good idea!

Oz,
Pretty sure that's a Reindeer, definitely not a moose and there are no elk in Europe outside of zoos.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Dr KR  good news today he passed.  He will start his rotations off with a good one.  One near and dear to everyone's heart here.  He starts with a two week one on sports medicine.  Hope all is going well with you out there.

Tell him congrats!  It's a great feeling knowing you passed! He found out quick, it was a full 2.5 months before I knew.

Tell him I said welcome to the best 2 years of med school!

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Huge hypothetical:

What would it take to get Carlos Lee from the Astro's?

Imagine if the Twins could add in .306 22 HR's and 80 RBI's with a .550 slugging!

That's 80 RBI's on a team that is 24th in the bigs in On Base Percentage despite Berkman's OBP of .439.

The only down side is that he's signed through 2012 on a big deal. But imagine for a moment a world where the Twins weren't afraid to spend money on a good player... a world where Carl Pohlad actually spent some money on the product he puts out on the field... we can dream...

TC, Fins, BDB, MiacManiac... thoughts?

I know we'll probably just watch the trade deadline approach with no positive moves by the Twins yet again, but I think this could be as good of a year to go for it as any in recent times.

tmerton, if you are in the bay area, how about going down to Menlo for some d3 football?

I've actually checked the Menlo schedule the last two years to see if there was a chance to catch a game.  I do photograph my son's old high school team's games when I'm not in MN, so it's been hard to do.  But I hope to catch one.  I know there was some interest in our son (note to coaches - if you're interested, call) and that the current (or, at least last year's) LB coach is the son of a Bay Area high school coaching legend, Dan Shaughnessy (he coached at the school where my wife teaches when they plastered DeLaSalle during one of Coach Ladecour's early years).  But talk about a challenge.  Menlo must have the smallest student body in D3.  Good school though.
