Question for TC and other Twins-o-files. What to do when Cuddyer gets healthy. DH, or back in the outfield and platoon with Span? Nice problem to have, unless it leads to hurt feelings.

All true about Mr. President's impressive savant-type baseball knowledge. He can tell you to the penny what Dennys Reyes' salary is this year in one breath, then make you think he's smoking crack when he spouts something reedamdikyulus like Delmon breaking the .300 barrier. A case of Hamm's will be mine come October.

I'm a little nervous about tonight as I will not be in attendance. Twins are 2-0 vs Sox when I'm there. I'm also nervous about Casilla being out of the lineup, maybe for a long time. Even more nervous about Punto and Everett in the lineup everyday.

As for Cuddy, that will be a problem, but who knows when he will be ready to come back, and by that time someone else may be out. As frustrating as it is to watch Gomez at times, he is an awesome raw talent. But Denard has been very impressive at the plate and in the field. Cuddy may be the odd man out for a while.

You know what else happens when you don't have ball games?  You argue with the old lady.  It's 1am and I'm no where near getting to sleep because I'm so steamed but she's in there snoring like a Tall Timber Days chainsaw champion.

What is it the Sage of Marriage said?  "Women: can't live with them.  The end."  Gotta love Al Bundy.

The Princeton Review site now says St. John's (NM).

I'm not sure if I read the site wrong or the site had the letters of the state transposed and fixed it later. I assume its the former and apologize for my mistake. I still question the credence of this list given the inclusion NYU.

But I apologize for the mistake.

The train was quite crowded, so a U. S. Marine walked the entire length looking for a seat, but the only seat left was taken by a well dressed, middle-aged, French woman's poodle.  The war-weary Marine asked, 'Ma'am, may I have that seat?'

The French woman just sniffed and said to no one in particular, 'Americans are so rude. My little Fifi is using that seat.'

The Marine walked the entire train again, but the only seat left was under that dog. 'Please, ma'am.  May I sit down? I'm very tired.'

She snorted, 'Not only are you Americans rude, you are also arrogant!'

This time the Marine didn't say a word; he just picked up the little dog, tossed it out the train window, and sat down.

The woman shrieked, 'Someone must defend my honor!  This American should be put in his place!'

An English gentleman sitting nearby spoke up... 'Sir, you Americans often seem to have a penchant for doing the wrong thing. You hold the fork in the wrong hand. You drive your autos on the wrong side of the road. And now, sir, you seem to have thrown the wrong bitch out the window.'

St. John's in Annapolis, Maryland is a partner with the one in New Mexico.  It has a rich athletic tradition, and annually plays it's neighbor, Navy.

http://www.stjohnscollege.edu/campuslife/AN/croquet.

QuoteAmong the many traditions at St. John's, croquet is a great pastime among the students. The team is nationally ranked and competes annually against our neighbor, the U.S. Naval Academy.

The annual springtime match for the Annapolis Cup is held on the graceful front lawn of the college. The Navy band plays, picnickers abound, the alumni tent offers cucumber sandwiches, chocolates, and champagne. And the goodwill that the opponents display after each match is no clenched-teeth affair, but rather a hearty handshake for a job well done.

TC (or the new king of MLB, TDT):

With Hernandez sucking wind again on the mound as I type, what's stopping Liriano from coming up?  He's been pitching up a storm in AAA.  There is no place on the mound for the Dominican wonder?

Uncle Veek...

Quit lurking and post something funny!!!

Ok just got home from the ballgame with the Mayor and his associates.  Lots of good chatter, including a wager.  I take Delmon over .300 and Finsleft has him below .300 at the end of the regular season.

CC to the rest of the MIACPP: Hush Hush the Mayor also believes that Touchdown Tommy could completely dominate TC in baseball discussion Hush Hush...

Thanks for the invite TDT.... I thought we had a date.  :-\

Not a good sign for the future....discovered last night that evenings at the Old Country Buffet now cost over $11 per person.  Forgot to look to see if they also raised the age for the Senior rate.  They probably moved that up to 75.:'(

A man walked into a supermarket with his zipper down. A lady cashier walked up to him and said, 'Your barracks door is open.' Not a phrase that men normally use, he went on his way looking a  bit puzzled. When he was about done shopping, a man came up and said,  'Your fly is open.' He zipped up and finished his shopping. At the checkout, he intentionally got in the line where the lady was that told him about his  'barracks door.' He was planning to have a little fun with her, so when he reached the counter he said, 'When you saw my barracks door open, did you see a Marine standing in there at attention?' The lady thought for a moment and said 'No, no I didn't. All I saw was a disabled veteran sitting on a couple of old duffel bags.

I echo that.  That is my fathers birth town.  I don't know of any relatives still there.  My prayers go out to them.
