KR, thanks.  Your time will be up before you know it.  Best of luck to you.

Pat, at least you got your moneys worth tonight, even with the elevated prices.

Everyday is payday in paradise.

Big win for the Hawks on the weekend against the Brisbane Lions.  Brisbane had played a smothering defensive game all afternoon that made for a boring match.  Obviously, since I'm posting here, the Hawks finally broke out in the second half.  The last quarter was a slaughter.  High quality vid available here.

(PS: I've just discovered that you can link directly to high quality formats, if available, at youtube by appending the string '&fmt=6' to the end of your url.)

Frank's next installment of his preseason MIAC review is out.  Good reading.

St Olaf: Lot's of turnover (coaching and players), will find it tough to score
Gustavus: Have a chance finish in the top 5 if they get a QB

along with a new cheerleader.

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Sure did. I almost don't care that we lost -- Delmon Young's homer was worth the price of admission. :)

They had one all lined up, but he went the JUCO route in California.  I guess there is time to change his mind.

This past weekend, I found a 1/2 gallon of milk in the fridge at the cabin that was about a month beyond it's expiration date.  It was literally bulging.  Needless to say, I set it in the sun for a day, and then my bro-in-laws and I decided to see what would happen when we shot it with a 45 caliber pistol.  It was not as immpressive as we'd hoped, but it's good to know what will happen.

I'm beyond my expiration date, too.  I'm not telling you when I go to to the beach.

I go blabbing about Delmon yesterday and he hits two 3-run homers within 24 hours. WTF? Twinks had a nice 4-1 lead going into the 8th. Bullpen could blow it, now 4-2. A healthy Neshek shore would be nice these days.

Fins, I think that I will wait until the end of the month before conceding on DY hitting .300  What is strange is that I am agreeing with TDT about something other than the Johnnies.

Well when he sucked so bad his excuse was that he never got hot until the last part of the season. Just never thought "last part" meant "last 6 weeks". I'll gladly pay off the bet if he gets hot and we win the division.

And thank God for Joe Nathan.
