......And we all know that women are much more high minded than we Neanderthals. They watch for the shear beauty and athleticism in sport, where all we want is T&A. :o

Well, except for bennie! :o

That's right! I am not opposed to enjoying the shear beauty and athleticism in sport with a side of beefcake thrown in! 8)

In the spirit of the Olympics, and this red hot Aussie olympic swimmer, (insert Oz info here), Can't we all just get along?   ;)

Ah, Stephanie Rice.  This infamous photo of hers may be appealing.  Making the rounds Down Under: Stephanie in her police costume...

Anyone feel the urge to be arrested?

Just don't post the pictures of French swimmer Laure Manaudou that her ex-boyfriend, an Italian swimmer, was rumored to have put on the net. Those will get you banned from Post Patterns!  Google away guys! ;) ;D

could you explain to me why the women wear the tiny bikinis and the men wear baggy shirts and boardshort?

Because if the women wear tiny bikinis then men will watch them play volleyball. You have tall, fit, tan women in tiny bikinis flinging themselves through the air and then jumping up and down and hugging after each point. Otherwise no men would watch it.

I hope that answers your question. If not, then I hope this answers your question:

Think things are hot in the women's Olympic volleyball competition?

www.JohnnieFootball.com turns up the temperature with a player report from Johnnie Camp.

In the Olympic gymnastics (uneven bars), Nastia Liukin (US) and He Kexin (China, who won a 13-and-under tourney last year; Olympics minimum age is 16) tied for the top score.  On the third tie-breaker, He was given the gold because of the low score given to Nastia by Australian judge, Helen Colagiuri.

Oz, I have it on good authority that if Helen is not immediately sent to Gitmo, the bombing begins! ;D

If they want to treat this like Alice in Wonderland, maybe the next Games should be held behind the looking glass. :'( >:(

Dusty;

Great idea on the training camp blog.  Love it.

Now, if I could only print it out...  in reverse chronological order so that most recent entry is on top. (he jokingly chides while channeling tmerton.  I figured I would save him the effort of typing ;) )

Yes, there is a God, and He is obviously a Johnnie fan. They just announced that the East Texas Bethel game has been changed to start at 1:00 p.m. instead of 11:00 a.m.

Veek- do you still want to meet at 6?

Fins - it is with great sadness that I have to report that I will not be able to attend the home opener.  I'm in charge of our Lions food booth at the LF Arts & Crafts Fair that weekend so I won't be able to make it.  I can't recall the last time that I missed a home opener but such is life.

+k for your twig and berries post.
Go Johnnies!!!

I actually believe this campaign was started by someone from Claremont or Pamona.  I seem to remember them discussing it on the SCIAC boards about two years ago.  Someone there may remember who it was, snoop.

I'm still new to some MN traditions, but can anyone else think of someone missing a Johnnie home opener for an Arts and Crafts Fair? ??? :o

You'll be missed, Veek.

Methinks he protests too strongly!  I must be correct.  ;)
