Fins, How was the WE Fest? I have been gone most of the last week. I apologize if you have already posted your report about the drunken debauchery that took place out there! ;)
I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run

Just don't post the pictures of French swimmer Laure Manaudou that her ex-boyfriend, an Italian swimmer, was rumored to have put on the net. Those will get you banned from Post Patterns!  Google away guys! ;) ;D
Thank you bennie and +k  8)

Here's the real deal however  --  Mrs. 57 just got back from shopping and she was thoughtful enough to get me a fresh 10 pack of Redenbacher's Smart Pop for the upcoming JOHNNIE FOOTBALL season.
What a GAL  :o

We must be getting close to the Johnnie season! I'm driving into the gas station in Carver last evening and there is this dude filling up his pickup. He has on a Johnnie football t-shirt. Turns out it is Josh Pantzke, an OL who was a teammate of Duffman's on the `02 team.

Stiftungsfest, Minnesota's oldest celebration, is this weekend in Norwood Young America. Go to stiftungsfest.org for the schedule of events. Hairball, a great band, is playing Friday night.

Don't forget the state amateur baseball tournament in Chaska and Shakopee this weekend and Labor Day weekend. Go to www.stateamateurbaseball08.com.

Pantzke's a hard one to miss ;)  How's he doing?  I ran into his mom a few months ago, but I haven't talked to Josh in quite a while.

Duff, sounds like he is doing fine. He lives in St. Louis Park and has a buddy who lives in Carver. He indicated he really likes coming out to Carver. Who wouldn't?!!!!

Hey, Blue Devil Bob,
ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?    BoBo and I are rounding up the usual suspects and anyone who wants to participate in the WIAC Pick em's this season.  Want to be sure and get you involved on time this year.  ;D  Retagent and OzJohnny, you two have been regulars on the WIAC thread of late.  Want in?  Anyone else who is interested, go to the WIAC Pick-ems thread and register.
"Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!"  Dennis Miller

"Three things you don't want to be in football, slow, small and friendly!"  John Madden

life." Paul Dietzel / LSU

According to the informal method of "voting" utilized here on the MIACPP, it appears we have more fans of Arts and Crafts Fairs than I expected.  I'll have to watch out for that.

We'll still miss you at the ETBU game, Veek.  Those Texans would have appreciated your pickup truck.  (But does it have a gun rack?)

For those of you who plan game attendance around hunting season, I provide the following resources - here and here.  It appears that there's almost no time when it isn't hunting season, for one thing or another.  Who's up for a squirrel hunt? ;D

Tmerton,

The Little Falls Craft Fair isn't your typical craft fair--it's GINORMOUS.  With Veek's stature in Little Falls, I'm not surprised his presence is required.

I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Frank Rajkowski is doing a pretty good job with his blog.  He's intends to feature little snippets with different players.  Today he posted on what is turning into the most anticipated new guy, Jimmy Sharpe.  It's good to see Sharpe fitting in well, but I wish he would take his statements about the "easy" practices one step further by saying something like, "It's so laid back at practice that it makes me want to chew up and spit out Royal running backs and eat Cobber QB's for a snack."

Can't have everything, I guess.

Well, the Aussies have just started against the Yanks in basketball.  Normally, I would betray a little disloyalty in this situation and cheer for the Aussie squad, since I can't stand the gangster culture in the NBA.  But Kobe Bryant, of all people, has brought me back to team USA for this match.  So all is right with the world.

The Aussie girls are battling Japan in softball right now, just finished the 12th, for the right to get the silver against the USA.  This match I cheer the Aussies with no guilt.

The WIAC'ers want to make sure they recruit the guy who finishes at or near the bottom of the pick 'em's every year.  :D
