Johnnie Red

And now on to my other nationality. An email from Ireland to all of their brethren in the States . . . a point to ponder despite your political affiliation:

`We, in Ireland, can't figure out why you people are even bothering to hold an election in the United States.

On one side, you had a pants wearing female lawyer, married to another lawyer who can't seem to keep his pants on, who just lost a long and heated primary against a lawyer, who goes to the wrong church, who is married to yet another lawyer, who doesn't even like the country her husband wants to run!

Now . . . on the other side, you have a nice old war hero whose name starts with the appropriate 'Mc' terminology, married to a good looking younger woman who owns a beer distributorship!!

What in God's name are ya lads thinkin' over in the colonies!

I hope we will have a great turnout for the Stiftungsfestivities tomorrow in Collegeville. Bring along some extra cash. All donations will be give to Todd Fultz, class of `90 and a former Johnnie player, to help with his recovery from the car accident he was in this past summer.

That's a great idea and should be done more often.

How about getting down to the important stuff - what beer distributorship does McCain's wife's family own? ;)

Re Johnnie Tats' Article. I'm not sure whether I should be angry at the UWRF admin, or gratified that they at least understand the basic Law of Supply and Demand. By showing that they do understand, isn't that a good educational development?

Re Johnnie Tats' article, does UWRF do 30 pizza ads a quarter over their PA system?  If not, their fans may not be fully prepared for that experience at Clemens. 8)

Just wondering with all of those bovine majors in RF if they have something to do with the genetics that go into those great burgers served during the stiftungfestivites.  I am betting that somewhere down the line the RF ancestors helped develop the bloodlines to get the tastiest meat around.  Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if it is one of the players great great grand dads who is the source of such a recipe and seasonings that make a johnny burger tastes so good.

Willy Wonka

I'm guessing this hasn't been posted yet since it hasn't been mentioned in the last few posts (extremely busy at the office without TDT's buddy as a sidekick)...but it can't pass without being brought to the attention of this board.

An author just wrote a big book about the 1990s Dallas Cowboys. It has an entire chapter dedicated to Charles Haley, titled "The last naked warrior."

It's definitely a PG-13 section, but here's a preview of the material. Unreal!

I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

I was thinking that I'd be willing to pay an extra buck a game and a couple of bucks for parking if it would put an end to those pizza adds. 8)

PRICELESS!

Thought I'd bring up one of my posts from right after the SJU-UWRF game last year.
The red X was a parking sign.  ;D

Is this why John wants to keep coaching another few years?  From the article it sounds like a pretty good QB is in the Johnnie pipeline - but read the comments!  :o

Edit: The comments on the article have since been disabled - which was appropriate under the circumstances.

NO ONE is fully prepared for that!

Was Looking forward to the 4 1/2 hour drive down to mount pleasant, IA for Carleton vs. Cornell tomorrow until I saw that they are having a early fall monsoon today through the weekend....

That should bode well for the Carleton air attack and the fact that they lost 6 of their defensive front 7 to graduation.  Oh yeah.. Cornell runs a wing T.

Thinking about going to see the Alma mater Moo U get throttled by SJU instead.
