That's right 57. My kid doesn't get to start on Hamm's until his 10th birthday, which is next week. 

Joking aside, I believe I was taking "swigs" out of my old man's Hamm's and Grain Belt's at about 12 and up. I guess that might explain a few things...

My first drink was at my oldest brother's wedding reception.  He got married in NY (drinking age then: 18), but the bastard was rude enough to get married 3 weeks before I turned 18, so no bachelor party for the 'kid'!  At the reception I asked the bartender for 'something legal' (cutesy for "gimme a stupid soft drink") - had to hide the gin and tonic from my folks, but what an epiphany!
