Johnnie Faithful-

I'm a bit confused right now...in the past two years, when Bethel was a legit threat to beat SJU, every other post from a Johnnie fan was about how SJU would dominate/destroy/monkeystomp Bethel.

This year, when I'm nearly positive that SJU will thump BU on saturday, thanks to BU's lack of playmakers on offense and general letdown from last year, there hasn't been any of that talk....

Are you guys really that under-confident in the current SJU team, or just really not interested in dining on crow like you have had to the past couple of years?

SJU-28   BU-13

I think there is legitimate respect earned by Bethel's program.  SJU is willing to honor earned respect where it is due-- Concordia (with its numerous national titles) for example is given quite a bit of respect, as we know no game with the Cobbers will ever be a blow out (save last year, but that was a true anomaly).

BU has a team that won't quit and will cause SJU fits-- especially this year, as the Johnnies, quite frankly, aren't all that good and are a bit overrated.  Can the Johnnies win?  Sure.  Should they win?  Yes.  But they probably should have won last year, too...and that didn't turn out so well.

I think your score is about right, but it could go the either way as well, same score.

Well, that's one explanation.  The other is that there just isn't the same chemistry on the board with the absence of Mighty Royal, Scrubbie and some of the other Bethel boosters. :'(

Good ol' Scrubbie, wonder whatever happened to him?

57, we will need a replacement for Oz on Saturday, any ideas?

I saw snoop dawg on our site and thought he was going to tell us he had lunch at the same restaurant as Guy Bellair!  ;D

Guy Bellair was actually in Collegeville last weekend.  I spoke briefly with him and even heard a birthday wish to him over the PA.

A tradition unrivaled...

ZIP will be missing also so bennie will have to do triple duty. Additionally, I saw the new Johnnie website and just hope and pray I can still get the game on my computer. I also don't know if you can listen to archived games on the new site. The new site looks nice but I will have to try to navigate it a while. If I can figure it out, anybody can.  ;)
The old website had a place to go to look up stuff on the upcoming game and 'listen live'.
I hope the listen live on the right side of the new one works.

57, Bennie is going to be one busy girl.  Just checked out the Johnnie website and under the football tab their is a listen live link, hopefully that will do it for us.  I may be able to make the Nov 8 game in person.

She'll be OK provided OZ sent her back the HM watch so she gets up on time.
The following week I will be AWOL as I have a Special Olympics event.

Anyone notice that the "New" Conference rankings are contained in the newest Around The Nation? Do you really think that the CCIW is the #3 conference in the nation, and the MIAC #5?

The archived radio broadcasts are located on the "Details" tab of each game in the respective previous season's schedule.

snoop dawg

Duff, you are such a name dropper.   ;)  Caught my first yellowFIN tuna last weekend.  The fishing was very slow, I got very lucky.

Good luck to the johnnies this weekend.

The new gojohnnies.com website is up.  Initial impression - nice work, Ryan.  But let's see how it prints! ;D

Now all the SID needs to do is add a picture of the "Dirty Deuce" and all will be well...
