Which is which?

How would BDB know?  He only posts them because he can't tell the difference in the first place.

The President has a very nice article on The Trickster on JohnnieFootball.com.  Well done, Mr. President. 8)

Didn't STU QB Sauer consider coming to St. John's?  I thought he considered it but believed that he would not get any playing time and chose STU, accordingly.  It seems to me that the SJU program has declined since all of this glitz, glam and pre-game music crap was initiated in 2004 following the championship year.  I appreciate George Mauer's talent and the giving of that talent to his alma matter but don't you think all of that stuff is a little over the top?  There must be some kids out there that are turned off by that stuff and it can only contribute to the "arrogance" that other people perceive SJU as having.  Just come out, play your game, kick asp and go home.  All of that stuff kind of turns my stomach and, when you think of it, the only program that legitimately should lay claim to that stuff is Mount Union, in my opinion.  Do the Johnnie fight song, play the national anthem and get to work.

Delmon Young will be a stud and he's only 22.  We gave up too much to pitch him after a year.  He's got one of the sweetest swings in baseball and he'll do damage with more patience and experience and age at the plate.  Trading him would be pure, unadulterated stupidity.  The Twins usually do extremely well with their trades in stark contrast to the hapless Vikings.  One of my worst fears is being realized in that I'm seeing the Vikings turn into perennial losers like the Lions, Cardinals (except for maybe this year), Oakland.  Somehow I think the Twins will be smarter than the Vikings.

Carleton will not win out.  Ramler is a good coach and they have good players but they do not have the depth.  The only way it's possible is if they have no injuries.  If SJU wins out, I think it has a decent chance of going to the post-season.  Unless SJU pulls its head out, it will not even make it there let alone win a post-season game.  Regardless of who wins it, I think no MIAC team gets to the second round.  I don't know if the Cobblers (Linneman's term) will lose another conference game.  I still think they are the favorites to win the conference at this point.  I honestly can't believe STU beat them.

I never thought some off the cuff wager with the Mayor would spurn this much discussion.  The truth of the matter is that Mayor and I were just BSing at that CWS-Twins game.

So, it looks like you won't be getting that beer, fins.

Incorrect.  The Mayor knows that TDT is a man of his word.  It will be presented at the Auggie Tech game in early November*.

Mommy's plastic comes in handy at times like these, eh Prez?

They just beat the #21 team in the nation without, arguably, their best player. Their depth might surprise you (and me, since I think you happen to be correct...just saying).

Who is this STU you keep referring to? Wasn't that changed like 20 years ago?...
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

We have a current Tommie student that works for us part-time. Said Tommie had no idea they beat the Cobbers last week or the record of the team, yet he did know this Satuday was the Johnnie/Tommie game. Oh yea, he also knows what time Kegs & Eggs starts  :-[
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Duff, I haven't changed jobs. I'm still running the Tilt-O-Whirl and the wife still has the Cotton Candy stand. I'm hoping after the first of the year I can maybe get on over at the Ring-Toss stand  ;D

Yes, Sauer was considering SJU but didn't want to back up Kofoed again.

And "Amen" to the remainder of your paragraph.

Or "The Trickster" or whatever.  Good articles - I printed one out to show Mrs. Merton but couldn't figure out which of the four blank pages she would like best. :-\

*If the Mayor is not present due to fishing/hunting/bridge club with the old ladies, the case of Hamm's will henceforth be consumed by yours truly, Veek, and any other applicable parties during the pregame tailgate party.

It looks that way as the "man of his word" is now imposing unilateral conditions on the payment of his debt, knowing full well November 8th is the deer opener, and the mayor's presence is required at the ribbon cutting ceremony at the deer shack.

I was talking to a stock trader who said last week the market was worse than a divorce. When I asked how could that be, he said he had lost half his assets and he still had a wife.
