If I'm not mistaken, Northwestern plays Crown this Friday for the UMAC regular season conf. chip' at the dome.  You heard it here first, Crown wins 48-41 (they lost to Northworstern earlier in the year 38-34).  Oh yeah, I'm also on the Crown bandwagon as I have a few connections there.  There is room if anyone wants to jump on the STORM wagon when they play Northworstern this Friday.  Come aboard!  To infinite and beyond!!!

If I understand the bandwagon system correctly (and the insta-trainwreck that that has entailed this season), don't we all want to get on the Northworstern bandwagon so Crown will win?  Football is so confusing sometimes.

I heard that there was a "late" and "tough" pass interference call that had a hand in determining the Pipes game vs Concordia...anyone who was there care to comment?

It was "late" in the game, yes. But tough? No, not at all. The DB got beat in the middle of the field so he did what he could to stop the catch, which was hitting the receiver before the catch was made. It was an easy call for the official. He didn't hesitate whatsoever throwing the flag.

Can we have more than one bandwagon going at the same time?  I don't want to get off the Concordia Express quite yet.  Maybe a bandwagon for each conference?  But would that have a dilutive effect?

Former Concordia standout baseball player Chris Coste completed his amazing, fairytale journey from three-time MIAC MVP to World Series champion! Coste is a catcher for the Philadelphia Phillies who beat The Tampa Bay Rays 3-1 in the World Series on Wednesday. He becomes the first player form the MIAC to win a World Series ring!

To AO:  Personally, I cheered for Bethel last year at Central and against MUC.  They've done a lot to improve their program over the years and they have an excellent coach.  I want the MIAC to win, regardless of the team.  I think that a conference that does well in the playoffs year after year will be more likely to be awarded a Pool C than other conferences that probably don't do as well.

I didn't cheer for Bethel last year, and I wouldn't cheer for the Royals, Tommies or anyone from the UMAC this year or any year.  But as far as Concordia or Augsburg or Carleton is concerned, I wish them all the best on their potential postseason journey(s).

I never took you for such a bitter person. I feel like you need Robin Williams to give you a hug and tell you "it's not your fault."  I guess that's what happens when you lose to a team 3 years in a row....

Distancing yourself from SJU? At this point that is a wise move.

This brings to mind when the Anaheim Ducks won the Stanley Cup. I remember reading crap on various message boards about how fans in California weren't real hockey fans (like Canadians) and that they didn't deserve to win the Cup. Last time I checked, the players on the ice won the Cup, not the fans. As much as I am a die-hard Johnnie fan, I am not so delusional as to think that I am part of the team or have any direct impact on what happens on the field. I think that was Duffman's point!  8)

Last time I strapped on the pads was December of 2002.  I have not lost to a team 3 times in a row since high school :P  And you have never beaten the Johnnies nor had any part in ever beating the Johnnies.

I believe the score Wednsday night was 4-3 for a 4-1 series win.   ;D

Further proof that you don't want to be associated with your team due to recent poor play and losing streaks.  I expected more out of a Johnnie fan but I guess your true colors come out when times get tough.

Does this mean you won't refer to SJU as "we" or "us" anymore?

Remember that while Bethel has beaten SJU 3 years in a row and that this has not happened since GAC did it in the late 70's, SJU owns the series like 300 to 7 and remember that all of Gagliardi's milemarker wins have come against them.  I think his 300th and 409th wins, came against Bethel.  I think, historically, Bethel has been sufficiently owned by SJU.  If I remember correctly 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 were all won by SJU  :).  While I agree SJU is down this year, they still may beat Bethel into the playoffs.  While I cheer for Bethel in the playoffs against schools from other conferences, I do so left-handedly whereas I do so with a greater sense of vigor when it comes to the Cobbers, STO's Carletons of the world.  ;)

Valid comments however my point was that he must have grown bitter recently due to being beat the last three years in a row
