Distancing yourself from SJU? At this point that is a wise move.

Last time I strapped on the pads was December of 2002.  I have not lost to a team 3 times in a row since high school :P  And you have never beaten the Johnnies nor had any part in ever beating the Johnnies.

Further proof that you don't want to be associated with your team due to recent poor play and losing streaks.  I expected more out of a Johnnie fan but I guess your true colors come out when times get tough.

Does this mean you won't refer to SJU as "we" or "us" anymore?

For half a second it seems as if you are posting something that is a bit smart and tricky (having set and sprung a neat little trap), but the Bethel helmet used as your avatar and we're reminded of the saying about monkeys typing Shakespeare given enough time and luck.

EDIT:  But then we find you were actually taking yourself seriously rather than just trying to trick some guys into a pretzel when you type this:

You were a lucky little monkey after all!  Ooo Ooo!  Ah Ah!

I had never heard this term before. I get so much smarter everyday via my subscription to the MIACPP.  ;D

I, unlike you, am not wrapped up in my alma mater.  I try to refrain from using "we" or "us" because I realize that I have no effect on the team.

Why don't you crawl back into that hole you came out of?

I don't think I've ever seen someone type ooo ooo ah ah on a message board before.  Oz, you are quite the gentleman and a terrific representative of your alma mater. ::)

I really thought Johnnie fans were better than this.  When challenged you disown them as if you couldn't care less if they won or lost, after all you didn't put on the pads and miss the tackles or drop the passes.  There's nothing wrong with the "we" statements or getting bitter over losing to a team 3 years in a row.  You don't have to admit it to fans of the opposing team, but don't abandon your own team in the process.

You really do live in your own little world don't you?

What do you expect; this is a guy who lives in a world in which sad sacks Tirico and Kornheiser are considered good announcers (I'll give Jaws a pass).

Really, you want a piece of this??? The guy who is willing to include himself in the collective "we" for any team having a halfway decent season not from Collegeville? I don't think anyone was "abandoning" the Johnnies (and it is not like they are babes being left in a basket). When my friends ask me about the games on Saturday, they don't ask me if "I" won, they ask me if the Johnnies won. In the same way I don't respond that "I" won or even "we" won, I say the Johnnies won (or lost). I know that you seem to have difficulty even keeping track of what school you attend, let alone whether or not you are on the team, but not all of us have that problem. :-*

Your sadly limited experience is not reflection on me, my friend.  Get out and experience the world, AO, and you may find there are lots of things typed on message boards that you have never seen.

(I mean, really?  Damned for typing "Ooo Ooo! Ah Ah!"?  Righteous indignation is a great thing, but you should tune your RI meter a bit finer.  I've typed far more offensive things than "Ooo Ooo!  Ah Ah!")

A couple obvious points:

A) It shows you what you get for thinking.  You should stop - by your own admission you keep getting things wrong.

B) You never actually thought "Johnnie fans were better than this."  You actually think we're awful and your using this to re-enforce your beliefs.  Might as well be honest about it.

C) No teams have been abandoned.  Freebird managed to spring a nice little trap (Monkeys, Shakespeare and all that.  Ooo Ooo - oops, I did it again), but then we found he - and you - think its a damning indictment rather than a clever trick.  Wild passions like this are how wars on started.  Might be a good idea to avoid employment in the State Dept as well.

AO,

Who ever stated that they abandoned the Johnnies?  Not I, for sure.

Abandoned?  Is that why Johnnie fans are on here in greater numbers than all other MIAC schools  fans combined?

Depends on what you call a "fan", stanbob.  By AO's measure, we are all posers and SJU is the only school without a fan on the MIACPP board.

You life is a sham, stanbob, and AO can see right through that flimsy charade you call support for your team.  The game is up, buddy boy.

Damn, I thought it was a blind squirrel that finds the acorn.

There! That's another thing I learned today from the MIACPP.  ;)
